In implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW (dated May 18, 2021) of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, Cam Pha City has seriously, systematically, and practically implemented the directive with many creative approaches.
Always remembering President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, "Our nation is a nation rich in compassion," and "Good deeds, no matter how small, should be done," Ms. Bui Thi Hong, an English teacher at Le Quy Don High School (Cam Pha City), has persistently engaged in charitable work for over 20 years. From the "Connecting Hearts - Sharing the Community" model, established in 2012, the "Beloved Quang Ninh" charity group, led by her, has now grown into a club with over 1,000 members. Thanks to this, activities have become more profound, effective, and far-reaching.
From 2021 to the present, teacher Bui Thi Hong alone has mobilized approximately 1.5 billion VND in cash to provide timely assistance to many disadvantaged individuals in the province and other localities… Notably, the model's success in connecting with numerous individuals, organizations, associations, and businesses to participate has helped hundreds of people in need. Teacher Hong's model of learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's example has been recognized at the city and provincial levels, and she has become a shining example of a dedicated Party member and teacher who wholeheartedly devotes herself to the cause of education and community activities.
Not only teacher Bui Thi Hong, but in 2024, agencies, units, and localities in Cam Pha registered to build 110 models and 35 exemplary cases at the city level on learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings. Among them, there are 21 models and 11 exemplary cases at the provincial level. Examples include: Women in Quang Hanh ward learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings to effectively carry out environmental sanitation work in residential areas with the goal of mobilizing 100% of households to sort waste at home and prevent plastic waste, and disposing of garbage on time and according to regulations; Mong Duong Thermal Power Company implementing savings and combating waste according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style with the goal of reducing the plant's self-consumption of electricity compared to 2023; Nguyen Thi Huyen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Hamlet 2 (Cam Hai commune), teaching English to young people in the area; Nguyen Thai Binh, Secretary of the Mong Duong Ward Party Committee, has been decisive in leading and directing the implementation of the most effective models and tasks to overcome difficulties for ethnic minority people in the ward. This includes directing and mobilizing social resources to complete the construction of the Khe Lap overflow bridge, and simultaneously paving over 700 meters of concrete road leading to the area serving 11 households in Group 6, Zone 10…
To ensure the activities are carried out in depth, Party branches and committees throughout the city have proactively organized thematic study sessions on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style on building Vietnamese culture and people, especially on culture within the Party and revolutionary morality in the new situation." During monthly regular meetings, Party branches and committees actively disseminate and raise awareness among cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees about building and promoting culture and human strength to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development according to Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style through concrete and practical actions that meet the requirements of cultural development.
In addition, the city is actively implementing the revolutionary ethical standards for cadres and Party members in the new situation, linking them with promoting and enhancing the unique characteristics of the people of Cam Pha: virtue, talent, health, beauty, compassion, along with cultural identity, indomitable traditions, resilience, discipline, and unity. At the same time, it is promoting emulation movements, replicating advanced models and exemplary examples of learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh; and organizing activities to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's visit to the Deo Nai mine.
To enhance research, teaching, education, and training on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, the City's Political Training Center has updated the content on learning and following Uncle Ho into the Party awareness training program and political theory training for new Party members, and organized field trips to historical sites. The Cam Pha City Youth Union has promoted the dissemination of five theoretical lessons for young people. Educational institutions in the area have incorporated materials about Uncle Ho and lessons on ethics and lifestyle into their teaching, effectively implementing the program to strengthen revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle education, and inspire the aspiration for contribution among young people and children, for the period 2021-2030... Through this, further motivation and strong development of the will and aspirations of the Party Committee, government, and people of Cam Pha City to overcome difficulties and build a more prosperous and beautiful locality as beloved Uncle Ho always wished.
