Associate Professor Dr. Ha Minh Hong, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Historical Science Association, observed that the 14th National Congress of the Party was prepared during a year in which the entire political system continued to focus on implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus and reorganizing local administration. From this special context, many new points and new thinking in the Party's leadership and strategic direction were clearly revealed.
For the first time, major historical milestones of the nation, such as 1930 – the founding of the Party – and 1945 – the founding of the nation, were directly included in the draft documents presented to the Congress, forming a century-long vision with the goal of building a prosperous and powerful country. The Congress set out a long-term vision spanning decades, but it was concretized with clear objectives, specific action programs, and outlined into proposals and projects with defined timelines.
The theme of this Party Congress features many new phrases with profound strategic implications such as "working together in unity," "strategic autonomy," and "self-reliance and self-confidence," clearly demonstrating the country's unique character and development path in a multipolar world . This further highlights the position, role, pivotal significance, and historical importance of the 14th Party Congress for Vietnam's long-term development.

Drawing from the challenging yet remarkably resilient historical journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Venerable Thich Tri Chon, Abbot of Khanh An Monastery (An Phu Dong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Culture of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and Head of the Buddhist Culture Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, believes that the Party will continue to be the force in which the people place their trust to steer the ship of the nation in the new era.
The Party recognizes religion as an inseparable part and an important resource for national development. Those with faith are increasingly convinced that serving the Dharma is serving the nation. Monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers are citizens within a united front, upholding their religious beliefs while actively contributing to society.
According to Venerable Thich Tri Chon, political stability, social security, and a transparent legal system have created favorable conditions for monks and lay people to freely practice their faith, and for their religious needs to be respected and guaranteed. This environment is a crucial foundation for strengthening faith in the Party's leadership.
"Today's Buddhists don't just look at slogans or declarations, but reflect on their beliefs through concrete examples of well-being. For Buddhism, faith doesn't stop at awareness but is expressed through action. The spirit of protecting the nation and ensuring the well-being of the people, accompanying the nation, has never been just words. I believe that the documents of the 14th National Congress will continue to improve the institutional framework, creating a space for religious and ethical values to blend harmoniously with national cultural traditions, becoming the spiritual foundation for sustainable development," shared Venerable Thich Tri Chon.

Following closely the 14th Congress, Father Martinô Trần Quang Vinh, Parish Priest of Đông Quang, Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City; Vice President of the Central Committee for Catholic Solidarity of Vietnam, expressed his hope that the Congress would continue to guide important decisions for the sustainable development of the country in the new period.
Father Martinô Trần Quang Vinh observed that over the years, the Party has steadfastly led the country on the socialist path, gradually building and perfecting the rule of law, maintaining political stability, and consolidating national unity. This not only creates a foundation for socio-economic development but also helps Vietnam proactively integrate more deeply into the international community. Notably, along with leading national development, the Party has always focused on self-renewal, self-rectification, and improving its governing capacity to meet the demands of the new era.
"The Catholic Church in Vietnam has always guided its faithful to live virtuous lives, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, and stand alongside the nation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The spirit of 'living the Gospel in the heart of the nation' has been clearly defined by Vietnamese Catholics since the 1980 Pastoral Letter of the Vietnamese Bishops' Conference and is consistently manifested in social life," said Father Martinô Trần Quang Vinh.
The Party has sent a signal of its determination to develop.

As a management science expert, Professor Nguyen Nhat Nguyen, from the Rouen Business Institute - University of Rouen Normandy, France, hopes that the Party will pay attention to incorporating national cultural and branding strategies into Vietnam's development policies.
"We are interested in the 'innovative nation' brand because the Party and the State advocate for reforming policies and the government apparatus, and creating conditions to build an economy based on technological innovation and creative thinking, transforming Vietnam into a breakthrough nation in science and technology for the era of advancement," Mr. Nguyen said.
According to Mr. Nguyen, Resolution 45-NQ/TW (2023) and Resolution 57-NQ/TW (2024) marked a profound strategic shift in the Party's vision for the development of science and technology, innovation, and creativity. These resolutions not only signal to the Vietnamese intellectual community the Party's determination to develop the country, but also reflect a strategic vision of transforming Vietnam into a developed nation based on innovation.
Strategic guidance from resolutions, combined with concrete actions in building a culture of innovation and a creative market, will unleash the creative power of the entire society and contribute to building a knowledge-based economy built on creative communities.
