The Vietnam-America English Language Institute (VUS) organized the IELTS Bounty Hunters Gala to honor 75 students who achieved an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher and to express gratitude to parents for their support in their children's journey.
With the theme "Unleashing Dreams, Steadfastly Moving Forward," the ceremony featured a Dream Wall area. Simultaneously, the organizers discreetly contacted the students' families to inquire about their childhood and current dreams, creating personalized dream cards to be displayed on the wall.
"The students were very surprised to see their own naive or surprisingly mature childhood dreams reflected in the pictures," a representative from the organizing committee shared.

Nghiem Manh Dat, a student who achieved an IELTS score of 7.5, once dreamed of "becoming a pilot to fly freely in the sky." However, currently, he hopes to study in Australia and start his own company. Another student with the same score, Pham Nguyen Nhat Minh, also once dreamed of becoming a superhero saving the world , but now wants to become a successful entrepreneur and take his parents on trips around the world.
Above all, all 75 students in the program shared the common goal of achieving high scores in the IELTS exam. They understand the importance of foreign languages, specifically English. This is a solid foundation on their journey to conquering great things in this era of globalization. "This certificate can be the 'ticket' that opens the door, allowing them to embark on that journey to conquer the wider world," a VUS representative affirmed.

At the ceremony, Pham Dinh Kien gave a presentation about his parents, answering the question, "Mom and Dad, what are your dreams?". He was the youngest student to achieve an IELTS score of 7.5. Kien's video shared the moment his parents witnessed their child's academic achievement. While the young people had practical aspirations related to careers, studies, studying abroad, etc., the parents' dreams were simpler, focusing only on their children's future.

Following the video, Ms. Chau Loan, the mother of Pham Dinh Kien, shared that when she was young, she also dreamed of traveling the world. "But when I had a child, my dream became my child. I am happy to hear my child share their dreams so that I can accompany and help them achieve them. I will always support my child," she added.
Similarly to Ms. Loan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh - the mother of Huynh An Khuong (a student who achieved an IELTS score of 7.5) - once dreamed of becoming a dancer. However, difficult circumstances forced her to temporarily put her dream aside and change careers to take care of her family. Currently, she only hopes that her child lives happily and gets to do what she loves.

Following this moment, the students stood up together to express their gratitude to their parents. This is also the greatest meaning of the program in each edition. A representative from VUS affirmed that, in addition to honoring and awarding prizes, the organization always wants to celebrate the values of family bonding, highlight the role of parents, and guide children to cultivate gratitude.
In addition, the IELTS Bounty Hunters 2023 awards ceremony also contributed to the record of 178,888 VUS students achieving international certificates.
