Chau Thanh commune begins construction of Ta Nom bridge.

On the afternoon of May 18th, the An Giang Provincial Association for the Support of Poor Patients, in coordination with the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Thanh commune, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Ta Nom bridge in Tan Phuoc hamlet.

Representatives of the sponsors presented a symbolic check representing the amount donated for the bridge construction.

The Ta Nom Bridge is 27 meters long, 4 meters wide, and has a load capacity of 5 tons. The total construction cost was 375 million VND; of which, the Spreading Love group in Ho Chi Minh City donated 150 million VND; Hoa Sen Doctors in Ho Chi Minh City donated 60 million VND; Nguyen Nho Real Estate Company donated 100 million VND; and the remainder was contributed by the local government and people.

Representatives performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the bridge construction.

The bridge is being constructed by Mr. Nguyen Van Don and is expected to be completed in 60 days with the contribution of labor from local people.

Donating gifts to impoverished households.

On this occasion, the construction unit donated 10 gift packages (worth 300,000 VND each) to poor households in Tan Phuoc hamlet.
