Co Che Communal House is an ancient communal house over 300 years old, built during the Le Trung Hung period, worshiping Thanh Hoang Trung Thanh Pho Tuong Dai Vuong, the Water God who made great contributions to the cause of defending the country, bringing independence and autonomy to the nation. Every year, on the 12th day of the second lunar month, the people solemnly organize a festival to commemorate the merits of the village Thanh Hoang, contributing to preserving the local cultural identity.
The communal house still preserves many exquisite carvings and rare artifacts such as genealogies, 12 royal decrees in Chinese characters and a national language translation. Researchers consider Co Che communal house to be the “precious gem remaining in the Northern Delta”, with artistic value comparable to Chu Quyen, Huong Canh and Phu Lao communal houses.

In 2004, the communal house was recognized as a city-level relic; in 2015, it continued to be ranked as a national historical-cultural relic.
However, after many centuries, the communal house has seriously degraded. Implementing the policy of heritage conservation, in 2023, the People's Committee of Phu Xuyen district implemented the project to restore and embellish Co Che communal house with a total cost of nearly 24 billion VND.
The project was completed on schedule, ensuring technical and aesthetic requirements. Along with the investment capital from the State, the people, businesses, and children living far from home also actively contributed with a total value of more than 867 million VND.
After restoration, Co Che Communal House not only meets the cultural and religious needs of the people, but also becomes a traditional educational address for the younger generation about the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", fostering love for the homeland and country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Dai Xuyen Commune People's Committee Hoang Tuan emphasized that the fact that Co Che communal house was given a welcome sign is an honor and pride for the people of Dai Xuyen Commune in general and Co Che Village in particular. This is a recognition of the cultural and historical value of the relic, and at the same time demonstrates the attention of the Party, State and City to the work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage. The event also vividly demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people in preserving, embellishing and promoting traditional cultural values.
The ceremony of attaching the plaque to Co Che communal house has the meaning of expressing gratitude and honoring the heritage, affirming the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Dai Xuyen in accompanying the cause of building a civilized, modern and cultural capital.
