On the afternoon of July 24, Chairman of La Lay Commune People's Committee Le Quang Thach said that due to the impact of storm No. 3, about 25 houses in the commune were damaged, of which 13 houses suffered over 50% damage. Immediately after the storm dissipated, the local government promptly mobilized police, border guards, militia, and youth union members to coordinate with the people to urgently re-roof and cover houses, clean up fallen trees, and ensure traffic safety...

“In recent days, local forces have been actively and urgently helping people repair their houses. Currently, most of the houses damaged by the storm have been repaired. We are reporting to our superiors for support for some more severely damaged houses and calling for socialized resources to quickly repair them to help people stabilize their lives soon,” Mr. Thach informed.
In parallel with overcoming the consequences caused by the storm, in recent days, the leaders of La Lay commune have visited and encouraged affected households; at the same time, coordinated with functional agencies to assess the extent of damage, and proposed timely support for people to stabilize their lives.
