Song Xoai commune has achieved the status of a model new rural area.

On the morning of April 25th, Phu My City held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing Song Xoai commune as a model new rural area in 2024.

Mr. Trinh Hang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, presented a flower basket from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to congratulate the Party Committee, government, and people of Song Xoai commune on achieving the standard of a model new rural commune.

After achieving the advanced new rural commune standard, the Party Committee, government, and people of Song Xoai commune continue to build a model new rural commune.

To date, the commune has achieved 19 out of 19 criteria for building a model new rural area. Transportation infrastructure has been invested in and paved, and irrigation canals within the fields meet the needs of agricultural production; commercial infrastructure meets the shopping needs of the people. The commune's OCOP products are introduced and promoted on e-commerce platforms.

Rural economic development models have proven effective. In 2024, the average per capita income in Song Xoai commune reached over 95.4 million VND/person/year; the commune no longer has any households classified as poor according to national standards.

Representatives from the province and Phu My City presented the decision of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing Song Xoai commune as a model new rural area in 2024, along with congratulatory flowers, to the Party Committee, government, and people of Song Xoai commune.

In addition to the strict criteria, Song Xoai commune has chosen to focus on the fields of culture and education in the process of building a model new rural commune.

The leaders of Phu My City presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives with outstanding achievements in the movement to build model new rural areas in 2024 in Song Xoai commune.

At the announcement ceremony, the People's Committee of Phu My City awarded Certificates of Commendation to 4 collectives, 11 individuals, and 2 households; the People's Committee of Song Xoai Commune awarded Certificates of Commendation to 2 collectives and 17 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the movement to build model new rural areas in 2024 in Song Xoai Commune.
