At the ceremony, Tran Ngoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Phuc commune, said: In the past period, the People's Committee of the commune has proactively strengthened the work of propaganda, guidance, and state management on occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention and control, and management of machinery and equipment with strict requirements for occupational safety.
In response to the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, the commune's Trade Union mobilized and guided three enterprises to complete the necessary documents requesting the City Federation of Labor to approve the establishment of grassroots trade unions and admitted nearly 200 new union members. Through this, the commune's Trade Union exceeded the city's target of establishing one grassroots trade union and recruiting 60 new union members, contributing to expanding the trade union organization and improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers in the area.
The commune's trade union also coordinates with and guides grassroots trade unions and businesses in the area to review the living and working conditions of workers; to identify cases of workers suffering from work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, or requiring long-term treatment, in order to promptly compile information and propose support according to regulations.
The management and monitoring of workers' health in the commune continues to be a priority for businesses, implemented through the organization of regular health check-ups for employees as required. Some businesses have focused on improving working conditions, organizing regular health check-ups, providing meal allowances, equipping workers with personal protective equipment, conducting fire safety training, and participating in activities to care for their employees.
According to Tran Ngoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Phuc commune, in 2026, the commune will continue to strengthen guidance and inspection of the implementation of regulations on occupational safety and hygiene at enterprises and production facilities; promptly detect and rectify shortcomings and limitations to prevent labor accidents and safety incidents.
In addition, continue to maintain inter-agency inspections regarding compliance with legal regulations on occupational safety and hygiene, social insurance, fire prevention and fighting, rescue, environmental sanitation, and construction order at enterprises and production facilities in the area; guide enterprises to fully implement occupational safety training, provide personal protective equipment, organize periodic health check-ups and occupational disease screenings for workers as prescribed.
In addition, we will continue to promote support for businesses to stabilize and develop production, linked to creating jobs for local workers; strengthen inspection and guidance for businesses to implement regulations on environmental hygiene, waste treatment, noise, dust, and improve working conditions, contributing to building a safe, stable, and sustainable working environment in the commune.
At the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Commune's Trade Union, Duong Minh Khuong, on behalf of the Commune's Executive Committee, called on all union members, officials, civil servants, employees, agencies, units, and businesses in the commune to continue complying with legal regulations on occupational safety and hygiene; working conditions; and improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers in the area.
This is one of the key tasks contributing to building Thuong Phuc commune into an increasingly prosperous, civilized, and modern place.
