Gasoline and diesel prices have decreased slightly.

Gasoline prices will see a slight decrease from 3 PM on July 18th.

Specifically, following adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 108 VND/liter, not exceeding 22,174 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 116 VND/liter, not exceeding 23,178 VND/liter.

Prices for various types of oil have also been adjusted downwards: diesel 0.05S will not exceed 20,504 VND/liter (a decrease of 330 VND/liter compared to the current base price); kerosene will not exceed 20,664 VND/liter (a decrease of 374 VND/liter compared to the current base price); and mazut 180CST 3.5S will not exceed 17,611 VND/kg (a decrease of 173 VND/kg compared to the current base price).

During this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided not to allocate funds or use the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the global oil market during this price adjustment period (July 11-17) was influenced by factors such as: a decrease in US crude oil reserves (the world's largest oil producer and consumer); expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates in the third quarter, which could boost economic activity; the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine; and increased geopolitical risks in the Middle East. These factors caused global oil prices to fluctuate, with both increases and decreases, but the trend was predominantly downward.

The average price of refined petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of July 11th and the adjustment period of July 18th was 92.73 USD/barrel for RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 0.614 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 0.66% decrease); 97.15 USD/barrel for RON95 gasoline (down 0.614 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 0.63% decrease); 98.606 USD/barrel for kerosene (down 2.168 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 2.15% decrease); 99.308 USD/barrel for 0.05S diesel oil (down 1.906 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 1.88% decrease); and 514.498 USD/ton for 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 6.246 USD/ton, equivalent to a 1.2% decrease).
