At VinFast Cuu Long Can Tho, located on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Cai Rang Ward, the family of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, residing in Tan Hoa Commune, Can Tho City, was delighted to own a VF 6 electric car. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai shared: "Due to my job, I have to travel constantly from home to work, to the city center, and to neighboring provinces. Although gasoline prices have decreased, they are still very high compared to my income. I chose an electric car because it is a long-term economic solution. The charging costs are stable and much more economical, helping me to be more proactive in managing family expenses without worrying every time I hear about weekly fuel price adjustments."
While Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai and his family are delighted to own a VF 6 electric car, housewife Tran Thi Nu Em, residing in An Binh ward, Can Tho city, is researching the latest electric car models at VinFast Cuu Long Can Tho.
Ms. Em said: "Electric cars are quiet, don't emit smoke or dust, and save a significant amount of money on gasoline each month. In the context of still high consumer prices, every penny saved counts."

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Hong, Head of Marketing at VinFast Cuu Long Can Tho, when gasoline prices rise, the number of customers contacting them for ride-hailing services increases dramatically. Customers are balancing profits when running a ride-hailing service, so they are researching more about VinFast Limo Green's 7-seater vehicles. Regarding sales, March 2026 marked a significant increase in the number of new electric vehicle contracts.
With rising gasoline prices, customers are increasingly researching electric vehicles to reduce their operating costs. Compared to previous months, new contracts signed in March increased by 150%, especially for service vehicles like the VF 5 and the 7-seater Limo Green. In 2025, VinFast Cuu Long Can Tho dealership signed over 1,000 electric vehicle sales contracts, and the number of new contracts is expected to reach 1,600 in 2026.
"Previously, 80% of our car buyers were individual customers, and 20% were corporate customers. Now, many businesses have also started switching to electric vehicles, and corporate customers account for about 30%," shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Hong.
The shift to electric vehicles in Can Tho is clear evidence of a smart consumer community, sensitive to economic fluctuations and conscious of environmental protection.
