Dong Nai delays land auction due to 'general' feedback.

According to the Dong Nai City Land Development Center, the center has sent documents to various departments, agencies, and localities to solicit feedback on the land auction plan. However, by the deadline for submitting feedback, some units had not yet provided comments; the comments were general in nature and did not focus on the important issues.

Dong Nai province will soon auction off several plots of land within the Long Thanh airport area for commercial and service development.

This has led to delays and incompleteness in the process of gathering opinions and finalizing the auction plan. When the Dong Nai Land Development Center submits the land auction plan to the Dong Nai City Department of Agriculture and Environment for appraisal, it will take additional time because the Department of Agriculture and Environment will have to continue soliciting opinions on the auction plan.

Recently, the People's Committee of Dong Nai City approved the auction plan for several land plots, with the intention of putting them up for auction in June 2026. However, to date, the land plots still lack starting prices, leading to delays in the auction process. Updating reports is also difficult because the units responsible for land auctions assign tasks to many different people, lacking a central coordinating body.

To expedite the land use rights auction process in 2026, the Dong Nai City Land Fund Development Center proposes that the Dong Nai City People's Committee direct relevant units to enhance their responsibility in providing feedback on the auction plan, avoiding vague or general comments.

In particular, the feedback from the Military Command, the Police, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai City is crucial in determining whether the project requires an investment policy under the Investment Law; these units need to pay attention and provide feedback on the auction plan within the specified timeframe for soliciting opinions.

Each unit appoints a focal point to monitor land auction issues, submitting weekly reports to the City Land Fund Development Center for updates, thereby helping the city to promptly address difficulties and obstacles in land auctions.

Land plots in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park (adjacent to the Dong Nai River) that have been cleared will be put up for auction by Dong Nai City.

During the appraisal process of the auction plan, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai City is requested to proactively contact and exchange information with the Dong Nai City Land Fund Development Center regarding any remaining issues so that the Center can directly provide explanations, avoiding the situation of returning documents and delaying the implementation time. The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai City should promptly advise on determining the starting price for the land plots for which auction plans have been approved, in order to organize the auction in July 2026.

According to the Dong Nai City Land Development Center, in 2026, Dong Nai plans to auction more than 100 land plots with an area of ​​over 4,300 hectares; including many large plots located in prime locations (near Long Thanh Airport, the Dong Nai River, and major transportation routes). Currently, Dong Nai authorities have put 6 land plots up for auction; of which 3 have received bids from investors. Seventeen land plots have completed auction plans and are undergoing procedures to be auctioned. The remaining land plots are being processed for issues related to planning, land clearance, and land allocation.

Dong Nai will implement a series of major transportation projects connecting the region, Long Thanh Airport, and Ho Chi Minh City. In 2026, the city has identified land auctions as a key task; revenue from land auctions will be used to develop infrastructure.
