After launching Mix Flip - the company's first clamshell folding screen smartphone in China, Xiaomi recently brought the product to the global market at an event in Germany.
Accordingly, MIX Flip has a vertical folding screen with a fairly thin body. The device measures 167.5 x 74 x 7.6 mm when opened and 74 x 74 x 16 mm when folded, weighing about 192g. In addition, the hinge design allows the phone to rotate from 45 to 120 degrees.
The secondary display of the device uses a fairly large 4-inch All Around Liquid AMOLED panel. The device has a 16: 9 aspect ratio, supports a resolution of 1,392 x 1,208 pixels, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of 460 ppi, HDR, Dolby Vision, and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits. There are also Dynamic Lockscreens on the external display for users to use.
The secondary display has a dedicated speaker and microphone on the top, allowing users to easily make calls without opening the device. In addition, it supports a full-size keyboard along with smart partitions, full-screen capture, and several other features.
The main screen measures 6.68 inches, supporting a resolution of 1,224 x 2,912 pixels. In addition, both screens are supported by LTPO technology, providing a smooth 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Xiaomi MIX Flip comes with a dual rear camera system branded Leica with a 50MP main camera, 1/1.55 inch sensor size, 50MP telephoto camera and Leica image for advanced photography with 2x optical zoom support. The main screen of the device has a punch-hole design to accommodate a 16MP selfie camera. In addition, Xiaomi will also equip its new product with optical image stabilization.
It is known that the product uses the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC processor from Qualcomm at the present time. It comes with 16GB LPDDR5 Ram and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The MIX Flip is equipped with a 3D vapor cooling system for heat dissipation, a 4780 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The device comes pre-installed with Android 14 with HyperOS user interface out of the box. The phone will receive 3 major Android updates as well as 4 years of security patches.
Some sources say the international version of the device is sold for 35.69 million VND.
