Fresh flowers and wax flowers are still the top choices of parents and students on this year's Teacher's Day.

According to records at flower shops on Trieu Quoc Dat Street, the prices of fresh flowers on November 20 this year increased by 20-30% compared to normal days. Many shop owners shared that flower prices this year are higher than the same period last year, but customer demand is still very high. Domestic and imported flowers are sold in many designs and colors, with prices ranging from 300,000 VND to several million VND for each bouquet or flower basket, depending on the design and type of flower requested by the customer.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, an employee at Moon Decor flower shop, said: "The best-selling price range is from 400,000 to 800,000 VND. Customers who order large baskets often contact us in advance so we can prepare the flowers and accessories."

She also shared that this year customers especially like fresh flowers, making the shop always busy. “Parents order very early, many people order a week in advance. Because of the large number of orders, we have to import fresh flowers earlier than every year and hire more staff to wrap the flowers to deliver the orders on time,” Ms. Huong said.

Sharing the same overload situation, Mr. Tran Xuan Thu, owner of Xuan Thu flower shop, said: "On November 20, most parents are busy with work, so they usually only have time to buy flowers in the evening or order online. Therefore, this year we have promoted advertising and sales on social networks, allowing customers to order in advance to reduce waiting time and avoid congestion at the store."

In addition to traditional fresh flower bouquets, gift baskets combining fresh flowers and fruits continue to be a popular choice for many consumers thanks to their uniqueness, eye-catching and practicality. Depending on the type of flower, fruit and level of decoration, each fruit basket costs from 500,000 VND to 3 million VND. These fruit baskets mainly use imported flowers such as velvet roses, hydrangeas, sunflowers... along with fruits such as South African green grapes, Korean milk grapes, New Zealand Envy apples, Australian cherries...

Many traders said that customers often prefer imported fruit baskets because of their beautiful designs, longer preservation time, and suitability as gifts. “Because most of the fruits are imported, the price will be higher than domestic fruit baskets. Currently, my store is making about 15 more baskets to return to customers who ordered in advance,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy, a trader at Vuon Hoa market.

In addition, the November 20 gift market this year has seen a trend of people prioritizing practical, highly applicable gifts. Many parents believe that gifts that can be used for a long time are a way to show thoughtfulness, care and gratitude to teachers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh in Ham Rong ward said: "I think a practical gift not only shows gratitude but also helps teachers use it in their work and daily life. This year, I helped my children choose a school bag to give to their teacher and they also decorated the card themselves and wrote a sincere thank you to their teacher."

In addition to handbags, products such as cosmetics, health care products, personal accessories... are also chosen by many people because of their convenience, suitable for the needs of teachers of many different ages.
