Land of golden sunshine and blue sea

HeritageHeritage28/06/2024

Located in the north of Phu Yen province, Song Cau town boasts a long, winding, picturesque coastline. Its geographical location, with mountains and sea adjacent, has created stunning coves, bays, lagoons, and rocky outcrops that captivate visitors, such as Xuan Dai Bay, Hoa Bay, and Cu Mong Lagoon.
From the center of Tuy Hoa city, driving along National Highway 1A for about 50km, you will find the picturesque Xuan Dai Bay nestled at the foot of Gang Pass. The Co Ngua mountain range stretches out to the sea, forming the Xuan Thinh peninsula, which encloses Xuan Dai Bay and Cu Mong Lagoon. Viewed from afar, a verdant landscape unfolds, boasting a unique topography with mountains on three sides and an endless expanse of coconut groves, the sea, and towering peaks. The bay stretches across diverse terrain, with fishing villages at the foot of the mountains, white sandy beaches, and, notably, rocky outcrops of fascinating shapes. The bay boasts gently sloping, smooth beaches where visitors can enjoy the company of waves crashing against the shore day and night. Coconut trees are found everywhere along the Song Cau River. They grow luxuriantly along the shores of Xuan Dai Bay, where the fishing village of Ganh Do has small houses nestled together, peeking out from under the green coconut canopy. In the harbor, boats rest gently, bobbing on the peaceful waves. The deep blue water, along with the gentle murmur of the waves and wind, creates an intoxicating atmosphere that everyone longs to immerse themselves in. In the early morning, the bay is usually calm, perfect for tourists to cruise around and enjoy the scenery. In the distance, majestic mountains shelter the villages. Beneath the clear water, coral can be seen clinging to the rocks, soft like clusters of flowers, and schools of colorful fish frolic in the water. At this time, the villagers begin to bustle with activity, welcoming the fishermen back to shore with a wide variety of fresh seafood. Tourists can choose to buy whatever they like: the famously firm and sweet-tasting lobster from Xuan Dai Bay, or crabs, grouper, conch, and other shellfish… When visiting Xuan Dai Bay, just bring an empty stomach to fully enjoy the rich and flavorful seafood cuisine . From Xuan Dai, following the winding road to Hoa Bay, visitors are treated to a feast for the eyes as they gaze upon the rolling mountains on one side and the vast ocean on the other. Located in Xuan Thinh commune, Song Cau town, Hoa Bay beach has a large, crescent shape, with white sand sparkling in the sun. The tranquil bay is nestled behind rustic coconut and casuarina trees. Right by the beach are charming and comfortable bungalows. The owners of these resorts are very friendly and can even cook delicious meals for you.
The flat, pristine sand and calm, clear blue waters of Hoa Bay beach are perfect for snorkeling and coral viewing. The most beautiful coral reefs are always found deep beneath the surface, displaying a multitude of colors and marine life. After hours of fun, relax in a hammock swaying under the shade of trees, gazing at the sea in the afternoon sun, with its gentle waves stretching to the horizon. As night falls, the vast, tranquil space is filled only with the soft sound of waves lapping against the shore. The velvety night sky highlights the twinkling stars.
