Vietnam exports an additional 15 tons of agricultural products to Japan.

Attending the event were comrades Do Thi Huong, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Xin Man District Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, the District People's Committee, the District Fatherland Front Committee, along with representatives from specialized agencies and Vietnam Misaki Co., Ltd.

After more than a year of investment and support for the cultivation of buffalo ginger by Vietnam Misaki Co., Ltd. under the development linkage program in Xin Man district, it has been shown that the ginger plant is suitable for the natural conditions, soil, and topography. Therefore, buffalo ginger grows and develops well, with an average yield of 20-25 tons/ha. With a purchase price of 8,000 VND/ha, it brings in an average value of 160-200 million VND/ha. After deducting costs, each hectare generates three times the income compared to growing corn in the area.

Currently, Xín Mần district has established a ginger cultivation area in Nàn Ma commune with an area of ​​10 hectares, and plans to expand the cultivation area to Xín Mần, Khuôn Lùng communes and Cốc Pài town with a scale of approximately 40 hectares.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Do Thi Huong highly appreciated the efforts and strong involvement of the Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots level, the specialized agencies of the district, and especially the households participating in the supply chain.

The Secretary of the Xin Man District Party Committee requested that Vietnam Misaki Co., Ltd., and other businesses and cooperatives continue to effectively implement approved projects; develop and expand raw material areas in 2025 and subsequent years. At the same time, they should research and develop new linkage projects, diversify product types in the district's raw material areas, contributing to poverty reduction in the locality.

Containers of salted buffalo ginger from Xin Man (Ha Giang) are being exported to the Japanese market through official channels.

Currently, Xín Mần district has two agricultural cooperatives implementing a value chain linking the export of radishes and some other products. Misaki Vietnam Co., Ltd. has invested in building 20 agricultural product fermentation tanks at the Xín Mần – Misaki Agricultural Cooperative (Nàn Ma commune) and invited Japanese experts to directly survey the raw material areas, organize training, and guide farmers and households on how to plant, care for, and harvest within the value chain in Xín Mần district.

In the first six months of 2024, Xin Man district exported 36 tons of pickled radishes and 15 tons of pickled ginger to the Japanese market. In the future, the district will continue to cooperate with the export company to produce pickled shallots, with a joint cultivation area of ​​20 hectares.

Shallots are an agricultural product from Xin Man that will be exported to Japan in the near future.

The continued export of agricultural products from Xin Man to the Japanese market demonstrates the efforts of the local Party committee and government in cooperating and linking along the value chain, contributing to job creation and increased income for farmers. This helps farmers change their farming mindset, proactively transform and apply science and technology to intensive production.
