After more than 1 year of investment and support for growing buffalo ginger by Vietnam Misaki Company Limited under the development cooperation program in Xin Man district, it has been shown that the ginger plant is suitable for natural conditions, land and soil. Therefore, buffalo ginger grows and develops well, with an average yield of 20 - 25 tons/ha, with a purchase price of 8,000 VND/ha, bringing an average value of 160 - 200 million VND/ha, deducting costs, each hectare gives 3 times more income than growing corn locally.
Currently, Xin Man district has established a ginger growing material area in Nan Ma commune with an area of 10 hectares, and is planning to expand the growing area to Xin Man, Khuon Lung communes and Coc Pai town with a scale of about 40 hectares.
Buffalo ginger grown in Xin Man is exported to the Japanese market.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Do Thi Huong highly appreciated the efforts and strong participation of the Party Committee and authorities from the district to the grassroots level, the district's professional agencies, especially the households participating in the linkage chain.
The Secretary of Xin Man District Party Committee requested Misaki Vietnam Co., Ltd., enterprises and cooperatives to continue to effectively implement approved projects; develop and expand raw material areas in 2025 and the following years. At the same time, research and develop new joint projects, diversify product types in the district's raw material areas, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the locality.
Exporting containers of salted buffalo ginger from Xin Man ( Ha Giang ) to the Japanese market.
Currently, Xin Man district has 2 agricultural cooperatives in the district implementing the value chain linking the export of radishes and some other products. Vietnam Misaki Co., Ltd. has invested in building 20 agricultural product fermentation tanks at Xin Man - Misaki Agricultural Cooperative (Nan Ma commune) and invited Japanese experts to directly survey the raw material areas, organize training, and instruct people and households on how to plant, care for and harvest in the chain in Xin Man district.
In the first 6 months of 2024, Xin Man district exported 36 tons of pickled radish and 15 tons of pickled ginger to the Japanese market. In the coming time, the district will continue to cooperate with the company to export pickled radish with a joint planting area of 20 hectares.
Pickled shallots are an agricultural product in Xin Man that will be exported to Japan in the near future.
Xin Man agricultural products continue to be exported to the Japanese market, demonstrating the efforts of local authorities and Party committees in cooperating and linking along the value chain, contributing to job creation and increasing income for farmers, thereby helping farmers change their farming mindset, proactively converting and applying science and technology to intensive production.
