Exports reach their target.

Taking advantage of the recovery of the international market, businesses in Tuyen Quang province are focusing their efforts on preparing the final export orders of 2025. Beyond striving to meet revenue and production targets, this period also marks a significant shift in production thinking: moving from exporting raw materials to deeply processed products that meet the most stringent standards of the global market.

The impetus comes from infrastructure and policies.

The year 2025 marks a significant turning point for Tuyen Quang province with positive changes in its administrative boundaries. Following the merger, the province now possesses a comprehensive industrial infrastructure system with key industrial parks such as Binh Vang Industrial Park, Long Binh An Industrial Park, Son Nam Industrial Park, and Thanh Thuy Border Gate Economic Zone.

Currently, the province has 97 active projects with a total investment of nearly 12,000 billion VND. The smooth operation between the government and businesses has created impressive figures: Production revenue in industrial parks is estimated at 4,445 billion VND (an increase of 7.6% compared to 2024).

These figures reflect the effectiveness of the coordinated operation of government levels, business infrastructure, and workers, creating momentum for industrial production.

As of mid-December, the province's total export value was estimated at over 800 million USD, a 1.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This demonstrates that market expansion and production scale have become substantial across many key sectors, ensuring stable quality and on-time delivery. In addition to maintaining traditional markets, many businesses have signed new contracts for 2026.

2025 is considered a successful year for Song Lo Tea Joint Stock Company in My Lam Ward. With its specialty black tea product specifically for the Halas market (Muslim countries), the company exported over 3,000 tons, 10% higher than in 2024, achieving a revenue of 140 billion VND. Mr. Vu Duc Trang, Deputy General Director of the company, stated that certification is not just about passing technical inspections, but also represents a transformation in production mindset, long-term investment in quality, and transparency in the supply chain. In 2025, the company proactively shifted to producing green tea for export to Asia instead of exporting unprocessed black tea to Central European countries as before.

Meanwhile, at Woodsland Tuyen Quang Joint Stock Company, after nearly 10 years of operation, the company has 3 factories producing indoor and outdoor furniture and industrial wood panels. Mr. Le Quang Khanh, Director of the company, said: Woodsland is leveraging the advantage of its nationally recognized branded flooring and furniture products to expand exports. The company has strongly shifted its production to export-oriented furniture to Europe, replacing the previous export of raw materials to the US. Currently, the company is focusing its efforts on completing orders for the fourth quarter, striving for a revenue of 1,600 billion VND in 2025.

These days, many businesses in the province are focusing their efforts on the year-end acceleration phase, taking advantage of this crucial time to fulfill signed contracts and prepare production plans for the new year. At the Phuc Ung Industrial Cluster in Son Duong commune, the packaging factory of Wooin Vina Korea Co., Ltd. is operating at 100% capacity. From the raw plastic resin to the finished packaged products, everything is strictly controlled to ensure quality according to international standards.

In fact, the company started operations in 2025 with a production plan of approximately 600,000 products. However, by the end of November, the business had only completed over 70% of its target. The delay stemmed from the early part of the year when the export market experienced significant fluctuations, orders from some partners were reduced, and the negotiation process for new contracts took longer than expected. Mr. Do Van Hoa, the company's CEO, said that in the last months of the year, demand from major markets improved, and orders increased again, creating favorable conditions for the company to increase the operating speed on its production lines. The company also proactively rearranged shifts and strengthened technical control at each stage to ensure production volume and quality, while also creating a good foundation for the production plan in early 2026.

At Thanh Thuy International Border Gate, 2025 saw a significant increase in the value of import and export goods compared to the same period of the previous year. Exports were strong in agricultural products, plywood, and aluminum alloy ingots. Imports mainly consisted of machinery, electricity, and aluminum alloys. Tax revenue collected for the state budget reached 244 billion VND, a 40% increase compared to 2024.

Potential for growth in the new year

By the end of November, Tuyen Quang province's import and export activities recorded very strong growth, with total turnover estimated at over 961 million USD, equivalent to nearly 125% of the annual plan, 191% compared to 2024, or 1.9 times higher. The biggest highlight was exports, with an annual plan of 540 million USD, but by the end of November, the province had achieved 760 million USD, corresponding to more than 140% of the plan. This development reflects a clear expansion in the consumer market and shows that businesses have improved their production capacity and organized exports more effectively, especially in border areas.

According to Comrade Loc Kim Lien, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade: Currently, units are focusing on production to serve the year-end season, boosting exports of key products, OCOP products, and products with competitive advantages. The province is orienting development according to four product groups: agricultural and forestry products; processing and manufacturing industries; garments; and new products.

The province's main export items include: tea, pulp, printing and writing paper, textiles, barite powder, wood and wood products such as acacia wood flooring, swing chairs, wooden chopsticks, refined wood, and antimony… Notably, the province's distinctive agricultural products such as Xuan Van pomelo, guava tea, and male papaya flower honey have been exported to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, opening up great potential for local agricultural products to reach international markets. Currently, the province has many stable export markets such as: the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand, China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Peru, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Northern Ireland.

Recently, the Vietnam-China International Trade Fair was held at the Tuyen Quang Provincial Sports Complex, Ha Giang 1 Ward, from December 12th to 17th. Over the six days, the fair attracted more than 35,000 visitors and shoppers. The fair was part of the national trade promotion program, organized by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, with 240 booths from over 100 businesses, cooperatives, and traders from various provinces and cities in Vietnam and from Chinese localities such as Yunnan and Guangxi provinces. The booths showcased a diverse range of agricultural products, OCOP products, typical rural industrial goods, consumer goods, handicrafts, and distinctive cuisine. Through the exhibition, promotion, and networking activities, many businesses found partners, opening up opportunities for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, processing industries, logistics, and services. According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang, Tuyen Quang province needs to quickly develop a plan for border trade development; this plan should clarify the advantages, development orientation, import needs from China, and the potential for expanding the domestic market.

Notably, the province has just broken ground on the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Expressway Project, Phase 2 (from Tan Quang commune to Thanh Thuy International Border Gate). Upon completion, this will be an extension of the province's industrial exports, further expanding its reach.

Partnering with businesses

Currently, the province has over 2,700 businesses operating in various sectors, with an increasing number of businesses aiming to expand their markets, participate more deeply in supply chains, and export. The business community expects the province to continue issuing flexible mechanisms for accessing capital and land, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, in order to facilitate investment flows and create conditions for businesses to boldly innovate technology, improve product quality, and meet the stringent standards of export markets. On the part of the Provincial Business Association, its role as a partner is consistently defined, not only in production and business activities but also throughout the integration process. The Association is focusing on implementing training programs on digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications, e-commerce, and logistics, helping businesses improve their management capacity and competitiveness. I believe that, with close cooperation between the government and the business community, Tuyen Quang businesses will gradually improve their export capacity, expand international markets, and thereby make a positive contribution to GRDP growth, job creation, and increased local budget revenue.

Export expectations for 2026

Tuyen Quang Mechanical Joint Stock Company currently specializes in producing wood products for export to China and Malaysia. Entering 2026, the company places high expectations on export activities in a new phase of development, identifying this as a crucial pillar for increasing added value and expanding growth potential. Building on its traditional market, coupled with experience in tightly controlling raw material sources and continuously innovating technology, the company is gradually approaching demanding markets in Europe, including the Federal Republic of Germany. To realize this goal, the company has completed forest certification for its raw material areas, while simultaneously improving product quality and ensuring strict technical and design standards. The expectation for 2026 is not only to increase export volume but also to solidify the position and brand of Tuyen Quang's wood products in the international market; thereby making a sustainable contribution to local economic growth and the state budget.

Towards sustainable exports

Initially, the Cooperative primarily produced and supplied raw materials to its partners. As resources accumulated, we gradually invested in building a closed-loop production chain, from seedling care and raw material development to investing in workshops, machinery for preservation, preliminary processing, and deep processing, aiming for the export of high value-added products. To date, the Cooperative has three products – Centella Asiatica tea, Houttuynia cordata tea, and Centella Asiatica tea with rock sugar – exported to the Japanese market. Earlier this year, the Cooperative further expanded its raw material area by partnering with households in Duong Hong commune, developing over 120 hectares of ginger and turmeric to produce ginger essential oil, ginger powder, and turmeric starch. The entire cultivation process adheres to organic standards, ensuring traceability and meeting stringent quality requirements for export to the EU market. To help local medicinal herbs and agricultural products establish a strong position in the international market, the cooperative hopes to continue receiving support from all levels of government in improving infrastructure, obtaining quality certifications, promoting trade, and connecting to markets in a stable and long-term manner.
