The delegation of Ninh Thuan province was led by Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and leaders of a number of departments, branches and Phan Rang-Thap Cham City. On the Dutch side, there were Mr. Bouke Arends, Mayor of Westland City, along with nearly 30 businesses and the Vietnam-Netherlands Agricultural Business Cooperation Association.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: This is an important event to promote investment promotion from investment partners of the two countries, develop international cooperation and strengthen the building of close, comprehensive and long-term cooperative relations, especially creating a favorable environment to promote cooperation between entrepreneurs and enterprises; encourage investment, expand trade relations and investment and business cooperation, enhance mutual understanding, contribute to consolidating and developing the friendship between Vietnam and the Netherlands in general, between Ninh Thuan province and localities and investors of the Netherlands in particular.

Sharing at the forum, comrade Nguyen Long Bien said: Ninh Thuan is a coastal province in the South Central region, with many outstanding and distinct advantages, with a 105 km long coastline, a typical tropical monsoon climate characterized by hot and dry weather, strong evaporation, and high seawater salinity; has the highest wind speed in the country (average 7.5 m/s), the highest average number of sunshine hours in the country (about 2,800 hours/year), which is a favorable condition for the development of renewable energy, marine economy , tourism, high-tech agriculture, aquaculture, seafood exploitation, large-scale industrial salt production, deep-water ports, coastal industrial development, logistics, ... The dry climate also allows Ninh Thuan to develop specific crops and livestock with high productivity and quality, produced year-round, in addition to grapes with a stable annual output of 60,000 - 65,000 tons, other products such as aloe vera, asparagus, livestock meat (beef, goat, sheep).
The Netherlands - Vietnam Agricultural Business Cooperation Association is a cooperative organization between enterprises, research institutes, and government organizations of the Netherlands and Vietnam in the field of cultivation, which are very suitable for the needs and investment attraction orientation of Ninh Thuan province. Through the working session, with the goal of strengthening cooperation and attracting investment in the agricultural sector with the desire to receive and transfer production and processing projects applying advanced science and technology, building a green, clean, sustainable agriculture, increasing productivity, product value, solving employment, raising income, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Ninh Thuan province respectfully invites the Vietnam - Netherlands Agricultural Business Cooperation Association and its partners to visit and work in Ninh Thuan, to meet, exchange and learn more specifically about information, discuss plans to promote the potential and strengths of both sides in the coming time. The province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for Dutch investors and businesses in the process of research, survey, investment connection and enjoying the highest investment incentives within the scope of regulations of the Vietnamese State.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Bouke Arends, Mayor of Westland City, expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of 5 Vietnamese provinces to Westland. He also emphasized that the Netherlands and Vietnam have a long-standing relationship, especially in the fields of agriculture and horticulture. Although the two countries have different cultures, the challenges in the fields of biodiversity and climate adaptation are very similar. Therefore, businesses from Westland, the Netherlands are eager to learn about the horticulture industry in Vietnam and strengthen cooperation for mutual development.

At the forum, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province and the Netherlands-Vietnam Agribusiness Cooperation Association, Kingdom of the Netherlands signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. The parties agreed to establish a partnership to promote cooperation between the two sides, while creating many opportunities for cooperation in the field of cultivation through conferences, seminars, and discussions to assess the feasibility of ideas as well as introduce localities and businesses of both sides.
