Provincial police force strengthens facilities to ensure security and order.

Since its establishment, the provincial police force has grown steadily, with increasingly improved professional skills. In the process of protecting and building the country since the reform period, the provincial police have implemented synchronous professional measures, grasped the situation, proactively prevented and fought, and gradually eliminated potential factors causing political instability, contributing to the defeat of the plots of "peaceful evolution" and "riotous overthrow" of hostile forces. At the same time, it has reduced disputes and complaints among the people, and the situation of illegal immigration and emigration. The police force has mobilized thousands of households to escape the influence of illegal religious propaganda. Notably, the provincial police have focused on going deep into, discovering, fighting, neutralizing, and disintegrating propaganda activities to establish a "separate state" in Dien Bien province. Ensure internal security, highland security, rural security, and political stability of the province in all situations, making an important contribution to strengthening ethnic solidarity, building and consolidating the grassroots political system, and effectively serving the cause of local socio-economic development.

The provincial police have advised local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement the Government's major policies on preventing and combating all types of crimes; national crime prevention programs, action programs on drug crime prevention; and improving the effectiveness of State management of social order and safety. Typically, implementing Project 06, as of May 29, 2023, Dien Bien is one of the first 18 localities in the country to complete the collection and cleaning of 100% of population data; one of 8 localities to complete 100% of the collection of CCCD records for eligible citizens in the area; 94% of health insurance participants have their CCCD numbers synchronized with health insurance data; deploying 25/25 essential services on the Public Service Portal; receiving and processing 65% of online records.

In the field of fighting against criminal offenses, the provincial police force investigates cases urgently and promptly, does not let them linger for a long time, especially does not let wrongful convictions occur, does not let criminals escape; quickly investigates and clarifies especially serious cases. Every year, the investigation and settlement results reach over 90%, of which serious and especially serious cases reach 100%.

Dien Bien is a complex area of drug crimes. The provincial police have proactively deployed plans and strategies to build a solid defense line from the grassroots. Deploying the model of "Border Communes Clean of Drugs" with the goal of creating a "border belt", contributing to building a "green zone" free of drugs, towards the goal of striving to build a "Border District Clean of Drugs". At the same time, proactively coordinating with departments, branches and organizations to promote propaganda and mobilization work so that each organization and individual can become a "fortress" in the work of preventing, stopping and fighting against drug crimes. The provincial police force has identified, established and successfully dismantled many large inter-provincial and transnational drug rings, arrested many particularly dangerous drug addicts, and seized large quantities of drugs.

In the field of fighting against economic and environmental crimes, the Provincial Police focused on key economic sectors, stages, industries and projects, detecting and fighting to clarify many major economic cases. Thereby contributing to promoting investment efficiency, strengthening people's trust in the Party, the State and the police force.

In the coming time, the provincial police force will continue to train, strive, and synchronously deploy solutions to meet the requirements of the task of protecting national security, maintaining political stability and social safety, ensuring a peaceful life for the people, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of socio-economic development in the strategic area of national defense and security of the Fatherland.
