The competition is truly useful and creates a spreading force, encouraging the spirit of competition among Party cells, party members, secretaries and deputy secretaries of Party cells; contributing significantly to the process of consolidating and building a strong Party.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, most of the candidates participating in this year's Excellent Party Cell Secretary Contest were well prepared, spent time practicing, discussing, and thoroughly discussing the content and format of the exam. Highly focused, closely following the question bank; presenting fully, clearly, and correctly the viewpoints, guidelines, and policies of the Party, and the policies and laws of the State.

There are evidences and illustrations close to reality, suitable to the characteristics of each unit according to each type of party base; the contest sections are carefully prepared, applying knowledge about Party building logically, expressing clearly, creating appeal; attracting, convincing and receiving high appreciation from the contest.

In the self-introduction section, candidates have summarized the characteristics, situation, and functions of their party cell. They have introduced the outstanding achievements of the party cell as well as the leadership and direction measures in implementing the political tasks of the locality and unit. In particular, some candidates have known how to combine a number of diverse and rich supporting forms, attracting the attention of viewers, creating an attractive, lively, and not boring and dry appearance.

In the part of answering questions about awareness of the Party and Party building work, most candidates spent time carefully studying the regulations and instructions for implementing the Party's charter; mastered the Party's professional work, and applied their answers correctly, sufficiently, and closely to the content of the questions.

In the situation handling competition, the situations presented were appropriate and close to the content of the competition; in particular, many Party cell secretaries demonstrated and presented, highlighting their experience in Party building work, understanding their current tasks, and having knowledge and skills to handle situations appropriate to the requirements of the task.

In the presentation on the self-selected topic, the contestant closely followed the required content; presented the basic content of current Party building work. Frankly pointed out the limitations of the Party cell to find specific, practical, and creative solutions.

At the grassroots level, the Organizing Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the Party cell committees, selecting exemplary Party members, and doing a good job of propaganda work. Many Party cells have applied creativity, sensitivity, and innovation. The whole province has 2,599/3,033 Party cells participating in the contest, reaching 85.7%; of which 1,855 were Party cell secretaries, 528 were Deputy Party cell secretaries, 127 were Party cell committee members, and 298 were ethnic minority contestants. Notably, the contest attracted the oldest contestant to participate at 84 years old, and the youngest contestant at 26 years old.

For the district level, 788 contestants participated, 220 of whom won prizes. In general, the district, city and affiliated party committees paid attention to leading and directing regularly, promptly urging and reminding the contestants to participate with a high sense of responsibility. Thereby, helping to assess the actual and objective capacity of the team of party cell secretaries and grassroots party committee members.

It can be said that the 2023 Excellent Party Cell Secretary Contest has truly left a strong mark on Party building work. The contest has created a vibrant competitive atmosphere at all levels, sectors and localities. In particular, some units have also structured additional prizes for the audience to encourage the spirit of cheering for the contest, creating a widespread influence in the units.

The contest is also an opportunity for Party cell secretaries and grassroots Party committee members to exchange and learn experiences, contributing to improving the quality of Party cell activities, improving leadership capacity, and skills in solving situations and problems arising at the grassroots level. Thereby, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

Through the competition, Party committees and organizations at all levels can continue to lead and direct subordinate grassroots Party committees to innovate content, improve forms, and improve the quality of Party cell and Party committee activities. From there, gaining more experience, it is necessary to regularly train and improve political theory and management skills, contributing to raising awareness of the work of consolidating and building to improve the quality of grassroots Party organizations and improving the quality of Party members. At the same time, it helps competent authorities to be more proactive in consolidating and perfecting the team of Party committees, secretaries, and deputy secretaries of Party cells when there are changes.
