The rankings are based on votes from a panel of experts and travelers who have had real-life experiences at the properties in March and April. In addition to hotels, the awards also recognize the best swimming pools, spas and general managers from countries and territories including: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and the South Pacific region.
