114 contestants are competing in Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam.

This year marks the second time Vietnam has hosted the Miss Earth pageant. It is one of the four most prestigious beauty pageants in the world today.

On the afternoon of October 16th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the organizers of the Miss Earth 2023 competition announced new features and the roadmap for this year's competition.

This is the second time Vietnam has hosted Miss Earth.

After more than a decade, Vietnam is hosting the Miss Earth pageant for the second time, following its first edition in 2010 in Nha Trang.

This year, the competition is mainly held in Ho Chi Minh City, with activities taking place in Dong Nai , Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and other locations.

According to Ms. Truong Ngoc Anh , president of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023, this competition aims not only to find contestants with beauty and intelligence but also with a strong love for the environment and community. This is also what distinguishes Miss Earth from other beauty pageants.

It is expected that 114 beauty queens from various countries and territories will come to Vietnam to compete in Miss Earth 2023 this year.

According to the plan, the competition will take place from December 1st to 22nd with many supplementary competitions such as a national costume competition made from recycled, environmentally friendly materials; a swimsuit competition; a talent competition, etc.

In particular, Miss Earth 2023 will organize the Fashion Nature competition for young designers, encouraging the use of environmentally friendly materials and protecting Mother Nature. This is also an opportunity to promote Vietnamese fashion to international friends.

Ms. Truong Ngoc Anh emphasized: “We want to show our international friends that Vietnam's capacity to organize beauty pageants is not inferior to any country in the region. We want to introduce to the world the beauty of Vietnamese tourism, culture, and hospitable people. The 114 beauty queens from various countries and territories will be ambassadors of Vietnam, helping to spread this message.”

Miss Do Thi Lan Anh competes in Miss Earth 2023.

Previously, the Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 competition, held on October 14th in Ho Chi Minh City, crowned Do Thi Lan Anh as its winner.

Lan Anh had over a month to prepare the necessary skills to represent Vietnam at Miss Earth 2023 .

She shared: “As Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 , I am constantly improving my knowledge and confidence, as well as participating in environmental activities to prepare for the upcoming international competition.”

After my journey in Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 , I learned a lot and matured. But coming to Miss Earth 2023, I can't help but feel pressured because the competition is taking place on home soil. I am working hard to improve myself and achieve the best possible result."

On this occasion, the organizers also "revealed" that the general director of Miss Earth 2023 is director Long Kan .

The first judge to be announced for the Miss Earth 2023 final is Ms. Tran Nguyen Thien Huong, editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar Vietnam.

The Miss Earth 2023 final is scheduled to take place on December 22nd at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center - SECC (Ho Chi Minh City).

The final night featured a competition among the top 40 contestants, to select the top 4 who would be awarded the titles of Miss Earth, Miss Air, Miss Water , and Miss Fire.
