125 golfers participate in the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025

VHO - On the morning of August 19, 125 top professional and amateur golfers nationwide officially entered the competition at the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said: Today, the whole country is jubilantly celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, simultaneously starting construction of 250 projects with a total investment of more than 1.2 million billion VND.

Gia Lai province alone also organized 10 groundbreaking and inauguration events, in addition to the honor and pride of becoming the first province after the merger to host the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025.

Chairman Pham Anh Tuan shared that in the next two years, we strive to have 10 golf courses, ready to host major national and international golf tournaments, and also wish to accompany Tien Phong newspaper in the next events.

After the opening ceremony, the golfers officially entered the competition.

As we all know, FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon is a very challenging golf course, but also has beautiful scenery. “In ideal weather conditions, I believe golfers will have an unforgettable experience at the tournament and in Gia Lai,” said Mr. Pham Anh Tuan.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, co-Head of the tournament's Organizing Committee emphasized: Golf is not only a sport of technique and courage, but also a symbol of the development, civilization and spirit of international integration of Vietnamese sports.

With that meaning, the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 opening today not only gathers 125 top golfers in Vietnam, but is also an opportunity for golfers to compete, improve their skills, and aim for international arenas.

Held for the first time in Gia Lai, this year's National Golf Championship carries the expectation of expanding the influence of golf to lands rich in potential and cultural identity, while promoting tourism, sports and local economy .

With the noble sportsmanship, careful preparation and determination of the golfers, Mr. Suong believes that the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 will continue to be an attractive, quality and successful tournament.

Golfers compete in a 72-hole stroke play format, over four rounds with a cut after 36 holes.

Right after the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and journalist Phung Cong Suong attended the ball-serving ceremony, officially opening the days of competition that promise to be dramatic and exciting.

The golfers also officially entered the competition in the 72-hole stroke play format, going through 4 rounds with a cut after 36 holes, selecting 50 male golfers and 12 female golfers to continue competing in the final two rounds.

The National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 takes place from August 18 - 23 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon.

This is one of the most beautiful and challenging coastal golf courses in Vietnam, known as the “golf paradise” where the wilderness meets the blue sea.
