13 banks pay interest rates of over 6%/year, where is the most profitable place to deposit?

More and more banks are paying savings interest rates above 6%/year after the recent wave of interest rate increases.

According to VietNamNet's statistics from the deposit interest rate table publicly posted at banks, there are currently 13 banks pushing deposit interest rates up to 6%/year or more.

Among them, the highest deposit interest rate is 6.4%/year , listed by Eximbank for online savings deposits with terms from 18 to 36 months on weekends.

The interest rate of 6.3%/year is listed by MSB for customers who deposit savings online for a term of 12 to 36 months. However, MSB limits this preferential interest rate to employees, those working at TNG Group and its subsidiaries, individual customers receiving salary through payment accounts opened at MSB and priority customers.

BVBank also recently announced the highest interest rate of up to 6.3%/year for all customers making online savings deposits with terms from 18 to 24 months.

BVBank listed a bank interest rate of 6.2%/year for customers making online savings deposits for a term of 15 months, and 6%/year for a term of 12 months. This is also a rare bank that has brought the bank interest rate for a term of 12 months to the threshold of 6%/year.

In addition, GPBank is also inviting customers to deposit money with the highest interest rate of up to 6.35%/year.

However, according to the online interest rate table announced by GPBank, the highest interest rate is 6.15%/year, applied for terms from 13 to 36 months. Meanwhile, the interest rate for 12-month term is pushed up to 6.05%/year.

In addition to BVBank, the 6.2%/year interest rate is also applied at Indovina Bank (term from 24 to 36 months). This joint venture bank applies an interest rate of 6.05%/year for customers depositing money for a term of 13-18 months.

The above interest rate has decreased compared to last month, when Indovina Bank listed up to 6.5%/year for term deposits from 24 to 36 months, 6.2%/year for term deposits from 13 to 18 months.

The 6.1%/year interest rate is applied by many banks. In particular, Modern Bank of Vietnam (MBV) and Dong A Bank list this interest rate for term deposits from 18 to 36 months; SHB lists for term deposits from 36 months or more; Saigonbank for term deposits from 36 months; HDBank for term deposits from 18 months.

With a mobilization interest rate of 6%/year , CBBank is listing online deposits for terms from 12 to 36 months; BaoVietBank is listing online deposits for terms from 15 to 36 months.

In addition, Saigonbank also listed a bank interest rate of 6%/year for deposit terms from 13 to 24 months; Dong A Bank listed it for a 13-month term; ABBank and BVBank listed it for a 12-month term and Viet A Bank listed it for a 36-month term.
