(CPV) - At the end of the third round of the 2024 AFC U23 Championship qualifying round, in the list of 16 teams participating in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship Finals, Southeast Asia U23 has 4 representatives.
The list of 16 teams that have won tickets to the 2024 AFC U23 Championship includes: U23 Jordan (Group A), U23 Korea (B), U23 Vietnam (C), U23 Japan (D), U23 Uzbekistan (E), U23 Iraq (F), U23 UAE (G), U23 Thailand (H), U23 Australia (I), U23 Saudi Arabia (J), U23 Indonesia (K), U23 China, U23 Kuwait, U23 Tajikistan and U23 Malaysia.
According to the list of 16 teams participating in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship finals, Southeast Asia has 4 representatives. Of which, U23 Vietnam is the first team from Southeast Asia as well as Asia to win a ticket to the 2024 AFC U23 Championship finals. Following U23 Vietnam are U23 Thailand (first in Group H) and U23 Indonesia (first in Group K). U23 Malaysia has a ticket to the finals as one of the 4 best second-placed teams.
Thus, in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship finals, Southeast Asia has a full complement of talents. This is a testament to the remarkable progress of youth football training in the region. Among them, U23 Vietnam is the team participating for the 5th consecutive time. Our best achievement was the runner-up position in 2018.
The 2024 AFC U23 Championship will take place from April 15 to May 3, 2024 in Qatar. The 16 teams will be divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals. The three teams with the best results will qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The fourth-placed team will play a play-off against a team from Africa.
According to the schedule, the 2024 AFC U23 Championship will take place in Qatar from April 15 to May 3, 2024. Currently, U23 Saudia Arabia is the defending champion.
