Over the three-day weekend (May 15-17), early screenings of the film immediately created a box office sensation, raking in over 37 billion VND (according to the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam, with possible errors). This is an impressive achievement for the 45th film about the famous Japanese robot cat.

This remake of the 1983 original marks the return of one of the most captivating adventures. Inspired by the legend of Atlantis and the novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea , the film unfolds a journey of unexpected ocean exploration .
According to the plan, the film will officially be released in theaters on May 22nd.
The past three days of the weekend also provided a rare opportunity for new foreign films to dominate the box office, occupying top positions.

Besides Doraemon , Goodbye Gohan also received many positive reviews from Vietnamese fans and was quite warmly welcomed. The film grossed over 11 billion VND as of the morning of May 18th.
The South Korean horror film "Ghost Lake" also garnered considerable attention, grossing over 8 billion won, including early screenings from 6 PM on May 13th.
Shin-chan: The Scribbled Kingdom and the Four Unstable Heroes continues to attract audiences in its third week of release. To date, the film has grossed over 13 billion VND.

Last week, the Vietnamese film "A Time We Loved" officially premiered. However, the nostalgic film, set primarily in the 2000s, failed to truly captivate audiences. The film has currently grossed less than 1 billion VND. This figure accurately reflects the film's quality and capabilities.
This week, all eyes are on the official release of Doraemon 45. The film is sure to continue its box office success and aim for the 100 billion VND mark. In addition, there are several new foreign films released, such as Star Wars: Mandalorian and Grogu, The Detective, The Guest, and The Troll, while no Vietnamese films are being screened this week.
