On June 3rd, information from the People's Committee of Phu Rieng commune ( Dong Nai City) stated that at approximately 8 PM on June 2nd, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, the area around the Den stream culvert (Phu Rieng commune) experienced rising and fast-flowing water, sweeping away three residents.

Immediately after receiving the report, the armed forces of Phu Rieng commune quickly coordinated with the armed forces of Thuan Loi commune to deploy rescue and relief efforts. Several local residents also participated in the search and rescue operation.
Thanks to timely intervention, authorities managed to bring three women safely ashore and recovered one motorbike that had been swept away by the water. The search for another motorbike is ongoing, awaiting the water to recede.

That very night, the leaders of Phu Rieng commune were present at the scene to assess the situation and encourage the rescue forces.
Previously, the Dong Nai Meteorological and Hydrological Station announced that heavy rain occurred in several communes and wards on the night of June 2nd and the early morning of June 3rd. Rainfall measurements at various stations were as follows: Dong Xoai 80mm, Dak Lua 37mm, Minh Duc 22mm, Nghia Trung 18mm,...
Roads and low-lying areas in the communes and wards of Binh Phuoc, Dong Xoai, Dong Phu, Long Ha, Thuan Loi, Dong Tam, Phu Ly, Thanh Son, Nghia Trung, Dak Lua, Tan Phu and surrounding areas are likely to be flooded due to rain.
The flooding lasts approximately 30-60 minutes; along smaller rivers and streams, flooding may last longer and be deeper due to prolonged heavy rainfall combined with water flowing from upstream. The maximum flood depth is 0.5m, and along smaller rivers and streams, flooding may be even deeper.
The flood risk warning level is level 1. Heavy rain is continuing in the aforementioned areas of Dong Nai city and extending to neighboring areas.
Local authorities and residents need to proactively respond to the risk of flooding caused by heavy rain in low-lying areas and areas with inadequate or under-construction drainage systems.
