334 prisoners in Nghe An province were granted amnesty.

On June 1st, detention facilities in Nghe An province simultaneously announced the 2026 amnesty decision of the President of Vietnam for 334 eligible inmates, recognizing their progress in rehabilitation and creating conditions for their early return to reintegrate into the community.

On the morning of June 1st, the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the 2026 amnesty decision of the President of Vietnam for inmates serving sentences at this facility.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Detention Center announced the President 's decision to grant amnesty in 2026 to 38 inmates. These inmates have shown progress in their rehabilitation, complied well with the regulations of the Center, actively studied and worked, and strived to reintegrate into the community.

This is not only a legal event, but also a testament to the lenient and humane policies of the Party and State, and the profound humanitarian tradition of our nation towards those who have erred. It is also an opportunity to encourage those serving prison sentences to actively study, work, and reform themselves to benefit from the State's leniency policies, striving to become useful members of their families, communities, and society.

After receiving the amnesty decision, the inmates were issued identity cards, vocational certificates, and travel expenses by the detention center staff.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of the Detention Center expressed his hope that those granted amnesty on this occasion would continuously strive, overcome difficulties and obstacles, reintegrate into the community, persevere on the path of rehabilitation, utilize the knowledge and skills learned in the Center; work diligently, and strictly abide by the law and regulations of the locality.

On this occasion, at Prison No. 3 (Department of Police for Prison Management, Compulsory Education Facilities, and Juvenile Detention Centers - Ministry of Public Security ), a ceremony was also held to announce the President's 2026 amnesty decision for 68 eligible prisoners.

Also on June 1st, Prison No. 6 (under the Department of Police for Prison Management, Compulsory Education Facilities, and Juvenile Detention Centers - Ministry of Public Security) held a ceremony to announce the President's 2026 amnesty decision for 228 inmates who met the eligibility criteria.
