SHB Da Nang, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, and PVF-CAND all have 21 points and must compete in the relegation battle in the final round of the V.League.

The upcoming 26th round of the V.League 2025/26 will be a fierce race for the top 3 and a battle to avoid relegation involving three teams.

The relegation battle in the bottom half of the table is fierce, as at the end of round 25 of the LPBank V.League 2025/26, all three teams at the bottom of the table –SHB Da Nang (12th), Becamex Ho Chi Minh City (13th), and PVF-CAND (14th) – all have 21 points, with SHB Da Nang having the best goal difference.

In the final round, SHB Da Nang and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City have a slight advantage playing at home against Dong A Thanh Hoa and Hoang Anh Gia Lai respectively, but PVF-CAND also has a good chance, as Song Lam Nghe An has already secured their safety from relegation and may not have many goals left to strive for.

It has been a long time since the professional national championship witnessed such a breathtaking race at both ends of the table, with the difference in skill level between the teams being negligible, except for Hanoi Police, who had an exceptionally outstanding season, successfully securing the title three rounds early.

Also in round 25, fans witnessed a swap in 3rd and 4th place, as Ninh Binh FC and Hanoi FC switched places, due to Ninh Binh securing 3 points away from home against Thanh Hoa, while Hanoi, despite leading against hosts Hoang Anh Gia Lai in Pleiku, ultimately suffered a 1-3 defeat.

This result meant Hanoi had to relinquish third place to Ninh Binh, trailing by 3 points, and coach Harry Kewell's team also lost control of their own destiny to the club under new coach Chu Dinh Nghiem.

A draw in their final V.League 2025/26 match against Hong Linh Ha Tinh next week would be enough for Ninh Binh to finish their first professional season in third place.

Furthermore, the team from the ancient capital could even eye second place, as they are only 3 points behind The Cong, and in round 26, The Cong will have to host the newly crowned champions, Hanoi Police.
