Bai Vot-Ham Nghi Expressway Project
The Eastern section of the North-South Expressway, phase 2021-2025, specifically the Bai Vot-Ham Nghi section through Ha Tinh province, has a total length of 35.2km, passing through Duc Tho (4.07km), Can Loc (19.43km), and Thach Ha (11.68km) districts. The total investment for the project is VND 7,643.57 billion. The project, managed by the Thang Long Project Management Board, commenced on January 1, 2023, and is scheduled for completion in October 2025. However, the investor and contractors are determined to open the road to traffic by April 30th, six months ahead of schedule.
Ham Nghi-Vung Ang Expressway Project
The Ham Nghi-Vung Ang Expressway component project, spanning 54.2km, has a total investment of over 9,700 billion VND. It passes through Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen, and Ky Anh districts, starting in Thach Xuan commune, Thach Ha district, connecting with the Bai Vot-Ham Nghi Expressway, and ending at the intersection with National Highway 12C in Ky Anh town, continuing with the Vung Ang-Bung Expressway. The project is managed by the Thang Long Project Management Board as the investor, with a consortium of contractors including Tu Lap Construction Co., Ltd., Xuan Truong Construction Private Enterprise, 471 Joint Stock Company, and 368 Construction Joint Stock Company as the contractors.
In Phase 1, the project will have 4 lanes and a design speed of 80 km/h. Upon completion, the project will be expanded to 6 lanes with a design speed of 120 km/h.
Bung-Van Ninh Expressway Project
The Bung-Van Ninh section is part of the North-South Expressway Construction Project (Eastern section) giai đoạn 2021-2025. The total length of the route is 48.84 km, passing through Bo Trach district, Dong Hoi city, and Quang Ninh district in Quang Binh province. The project has a total investment of over 9,361 billion VND.
The project commenced on January 1, 2023, and according to the signed contract, was expected to be completed on October 17, 2025. However, the investor and contractors are striving to shorten the construction time by 6 months to open the road to traffic on April 30.
Van Phong-Nha Trang Expressway Project
The Van Phong-Nha Trang expressway component project, spanning 83.35km and with a total investment of over 11,808 billion VND, commenced construction on January 1, 2023, and is located entirely within Khanh Hoa province. According to the contract, the project is scheduled for completion in December 2025.
As of April 2nd, the project had completed over 70km, from Km 298 to Km 368+350 (from the Van Gia intersection in Van Ninh district connecting to the Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway), achieving over 91% of the construction output, exceeding the contract schedule by approximately 11%.
Currently, contractors are completing items such as road markings and signs to put the first 70km of the route into operation in time for April 30th, six months ahead of schedule.
According to the Department of Economic and Investment Management of Construction, to meet the target of 3,000km of expressways, the plan is to complete approximately 1,188km of expressways in 2025, comprising 28 projects/component projects, divided into two groups of projects. Group 1 comprises 16 projects/sub-projects with a total length of 786km, where conditions are favorable or the difficulties and obstacles have been largely resolved. Group 2, comprising 12 projects/sub-projects with a total length of 402km, requires decisive and focused efforts to overcome difficulties related to land clearance, construction material sources, and the organization of "3 shifts, 4 teams" in order to be completed in 2025. |
