40 households have registered in Nam Thanh ward, Him Lam, Thanh Minh commune, Pa Khoang, with a total of 160 rooms/bedrooms, along with a number of stilt houses, accommodating hundreds of people. These are households with empty houses, or empty rooms, fully equipped with necessary appliances, ensuring safety, and able to accommodate tourists when coming to Dien Bien .
Many households are not only ready to welcome guests but also provide meals if visitors need them. Some families, when registering, clearly state that if they are a group of veterans, they will not charge a fee for accommodation.
It is forecasted that the number of visitors to Dien Bien Phu during the upcoming peak season will increase, but the province's accommodation system is still limited and not capable of accommodating and welcoming tourists.
Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee and the Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee have promoted and mobilized local households to be ready to support accommodation for tourists. Communes and wards continue to check, review and compile a list of households with the conditions and needs to welcome and serve tourists for meals or accommodation. From there, the city will compile, support and allocate guests appropriately, ensuring that all tourists have safe and friendly places to eat and stay.
