Da Nang is not a new city, but it's one you can return to at any time for relaxation, beach activities, and delicious food .
Relaxing and unwinding is a popular choice for many tourists visiting Da Nang, known as a "livable city." Da Nang boasts mountains, rivers, numerous beautiful beaches, many resorts, and a rich culinary scene. Here's a suggested 48-hour itinerary for relaxation and rejuvenation in Da Nang, based on the experiences of local resident Nguyen Duy and a VnExpress reporter.
Day 1
Morning
Arrive in Da Nang on an early flight. From the airport, stop in the city center for breakfast. Resorts offer airport shuttle services directly to your accommodation. If you wish to explore the city, you can choose other modes of transportation.
One recommended dish is fish cake noodle soup, available at places like 109 (Nguyen Chi Thanh Street), Mrs. Lu (Hung Vuong Street), and Mrs. Phien (Le Hong Phong Street). If you don't like this dish, you can choose banh mi, Quang noodles, or banh canh.

Fish cake noodle soup is refreshing, with the main ingredient usually being sea fish. Snakehead fish, mackerel, or tuna are often used for the fish cakes. Fresh fish is washed, the meat is minced, and then mixed with seasonings such as salt, sugar, and pepper before being shaped into patties. The fish cakes can be steamed or fried. The broth is light and sweet, with vegetables such as tomatoes and pineapple, and is served with fresh greens.
Relax and enjoy a coffee at the beautifully decorated cafes on Bach Dang Street along the Han River. If you prefer traditional coffee, visit Long Cafe, which is over 40 years old, on Le Loi Street.
Check in at the 3D Museum (Art in Paradise Danang) on Tran Nhan Tong Street, one of the new destinations, especially suitable for young people and young families. The museum covers an area of 4,000 m2 divided into 9 themed areas and includes 130 works by nearly 20 leading Korean artists.
The museum is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. Entrance fees for Vietnamese visitors range from 100,000 VND to 140,000 VND, and for foreigners from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND.
Noon
Before checking into the hotel, we stopped for lunch at one of Da Nang's famous eateries, enjoying pork spring rolls. Da Nang's pork spring rolls are renowned for their double-layered pork skin, served with a special dipping sauce made according to each restaurant's unique recipe.
On the way from the 3D museum back to the hotel, tourists can stop by Tran's restaurant on Pham Van Dong street for convenience. Tran's restaurant also has locations in other parts of the city, or other restaurants like Mau and Ba Huong.

Check in at Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, located on Non Nuoc Beach, approximately 10 km from the center of Da Nang and 18 km from Hoi An Ancient Town. This resort comprises 122 private villas nestled amidst nature, each featuring a living room, private pool, and a full range of luxury amenities.
Evening
Guests can relax, stroll around the resort grounds, swim in the sea or the pool, and enjoy the on-site amenities. Quan Spa, an oasis overlooking the lake, features eight treatment rooms, a hot tub, a sauna, and a steam room. Opening hours are from 9 am to 10 pm.
Enjoy dinner at the Triton restaurant on the resort grounds or dine on the beach with grilled seafood. After dinner, guests can relax at the resort's bar.
Day 2
Morning
Enjoy breakfast at the resort and relax on the grounds. The hotel restaurant's breakfast menu mostly features famous Vietnamese dishes such as pho, banh mi, bun bo Hue , a typical European-Asian breakfast, special meals for children, and seasonal fruits that change daily.
Visitors can sit and admire the sea, enjoy the fresh sea air, and enjoy a self-service drinks bar with specials, including salted coffee.
Visit the Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn), a 5-minute drive from the resort. The Marble Mountains are composed of five peaks representing the five elements (Kim, Mộc, Thủy, Hỏa, Thổ), named by King Minh Mạng over 200 years ago based on the Five Elements theory. Entrance fee is 40,000 VND.

Duy said that Marble Mountains has long been a famous destination, but not many tourists visit, or have visited once but never returned. "In recent years, Marble Mountains has undergone many changes," he said.
At Marble Mountains, Huyen Khong Cave, Am Phu Cave, and Non Nuoc handicraft village are must-see places. Note that you will have to climb over 100 steps. Alternatively, you can use the elevator with a transparent glass cabin. The one-way ticket costs 15,000 VND.
Noon
After lunch, if guests choose to stay at the resort, they can enjoy the available amenities.
If checking out, tourists should travel to Hoi An to continue their holiday. The travel time to Hoi An is approximately 30 minutes. Tourists should choose accommodation in the riverside area for convenient access to the old town, as well as for relaxation, avoiding the crowds but not being too far from the center.
For other dining and entertainment options, visitors can refer to the 48 Hours in Hoi An guide.
