Specifically, five commune officials in Giong Rieng district were prosecuted and temporarily detained, including: Tran Van Tham, Vice Chairman of Thanh Binh Commune People's Committee; Phan Dinh Vinh, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hung Commune People's Committee; Quach Van Viet, civil servant of Thanh Binh Commune People's Committee office; To Khanh Hoang, civil servant of justice - civil status; and Danh Thanh Thuy, civil servant of land administration, forestry, construction, environment of Thanh Hung Commune People's Committee.

The decisions to prosecute the accused were signed on August 7, 2023 for the act of forgery in work under Clause 4, Article 359 of the Penal Code.

The Investigation Police Agency of Tien Giang Province Police came to work with the leaders of the above communes, served the decision to prosecute, searched the workplace and temporarily detained the defendants for 4 months.
