On the afternoon of June 6, comrade Luu Van Ban, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to review and resolve the contents and submissions reported by a number of departments, branches and localities.
At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee reviewed the report of the Provincial Tax Department on the budget collection situation in the first 5 months of 2024 and solutions to implement tasks in the coming time. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban acknowledged the efforts of the tax sector to achieve relatively positive results in budget collection. However, some revenues, especially land revenues, have not yet met expectations.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the Provincial Tax Department on the establishment of the State Budget Collection Steering Committee to comprehensively direct tax management in the province. At the same time, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment was assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee on solutions to remove obstacles for enterprises to fulfill their financial obligations for residential and urban area projects. The Provincial Tax Department coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to collect funds for natural disaster prevention.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban requested the Provincial Tax Department to closely monitor the collection progress, specifically and closely analyze each locality, region, and tax, identify potential revenue sources to promptly propose effective tax management solutions.
According to the Provincial Tax Department, Hai Duong's total domestic revenue in the first 5 months of 2024 reached VND 10,609 billion, reaching 63% of the annual estimate, up 46% over the same period last year. Of which, 2 revenue items exceeded the estimate by 20%, 12 revenue items were quite good and 2 revenue items were low. Currently, the State budget revenue is facing difficulties in collecting land use fees for residential and urban area projects; problems with electronic invoices generated from cash registers; coordination in determining the location and value of land plots as the basis for adjusting unit prices and determining land rental unit prices is still inadequate, tax management for e-commerce activities is still difficult...
