“50 years of the country full of joy” was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The program recreated the atmosphere of this day half a century ago, when troops "rushed like a flood" towards Saigon; at the same time, once again affirming the key role, both as the brain and the pioneer of the Capital in the great march of the nation.

In the program, the audience will enjoy songs associated with important historical milestones such as “Cau ho ben bo Hien Luong” (poem by Dang Giang, music by Hoang Hiep), “Xa khoi” (Nguyen Tai Tue), “Bai ca hy vong” (Van Ky)… or songs expressing the spirit of “looking to the South” such as “Chiec cay Truong Son” (Pham Tuyen), “Tinh ca” (Hoang Viet)… The songs “Ha Noi, Hue , Saigon” (Hoang Van), “Hue, Saigon, Ha Noi” (Trinh Cong Son) in the program affirm the connection of three places during the resistance war.

In particular, the art night brings to the audience compositions about the capital during the most difficult days of the war, such as "Hanoi, sleepless nights" (Pham Tuyen), "Hanoi song" (Vu Thanh)... The songs "Hurried letter" (Duong Cam), "My memories" (Phu Quang)... will partly recreate the feelings and thoughts of the young soldiers of Hanoi "putting down their pens and going to battle", to have the moment when the whole country and people sing together the melody of "Song of unification" (Vo Van Di), "The country is full of joy" (Hoang Ha)...

The bustling atmosphere of the Capital's patriotic emulation movements such as "Three ready", "Three brave", "Three best flags", "Great wind"... is also recreated in the program "50 years of a country full of joy" through vivid reports, images and documents.

The program included a tribute to announcer Trinh Thi Ngo of the “Hanoi Hannah” group, consisting of Vietnamese female announcers who, during the resistance war, took turns reading propaganda announcements on the Voice of Vietnam (Radio Hanoi) to call on American soldiers to abandon the war and demand the right to return home. A special report on the “Steel Helmet” Regiment took the audience back to the top of Chu Tan Kra (Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province), where, in the early morning of March 26, 1968, more than 200 soldiers of the 209th Regiment - 312th Division heroically sacrificed their lives in a fierce confrontation with American soldiers.

Here, the audience also interacted with historical witnesses who were soldiers, young intellectuals who left Hanoi lecture halls, put on their backpacks and went to the battlefield, and witnesses present at Saigon Radio Station on April 30, 1975...

The program “50 years of the country full of joy” was elaborately staged, harmoniously combining political and artistic language, with the participation of many beloved artists such as People's Artist Tan Minh, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh; singers My Linh, Quach Mai Thy, Tran Tung Anh, Kyo York; Thang Long group, Hanoi Radio Symphony Orchestra, Tre Dance Group...
