On the morning of June 19th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Provincial Military Command and the Department of Education and Training of Binh Thuan province, organized the "Semester in the Army" program in 2023 with the theme "Summer in the Military - To Help Us Grow More Mature".
This year's "Semester in the Army" program features 76 young cadets aged 10-16, divided into 5 platoons.
Accordingly, the program, held from June 18-23, included activities such as experiencing military training at the 812th Infantry Regiment in Binh Thuan province; a trip to the historical site of the Salon Base; and exciting sightseeing and experiential activities in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. The program will introduce the children to the life of real soldiers and allow them to experience the disciplined environment of the Army, helping them develop both physically and mentally; fostering a deeper understanding, appreciation, and respect for the image of soldiers and their readiness to perform their duties.
Through these activities, students will acquire soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, strengthening willpower and independence, taking responsibility for their actions, learning to love, appreciate, and share; being grateful to themselves, their families, and those around them... At the same time, they will learn valuable lessons about discipline, self-awareness in the military environment, living with others, and the aspiration to excel in life as young people...
