That is the information given by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine, at the ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its establishment and the 55th anniversary of the academy's tradition, held on May 19 in Hanoi. With the scale of enrollment increasing over the years, the project to invest in building a new campus 2 of the academy is expected to be in Ngoc My commune (Quoc Oai district, Hanoi) with an area of about 17 hectares. At the same time, the academy is proposing to be included in the planning list as a key national university education institution in the field of Traditional Medicine.

Currently, the training of traditional medicine doctors has changed; in which, in-depth scientific research is conducted on the combination of modern medicine and traditional medicine, thereby developing specific treatment regimens. From 2027, the Ministry of Health will conduct a basic competency assessment of traditional medicine doctors. Traditional medicine doctors trained at different facilities, before practicing, must also meet the basic standards of the Ministry of Health .
