On May 30th, the Vietnam E-commerce Leadership Conference 2026 - Season 2 was held with the theme "Building a Million-Dollar Operating System - Sustainable Scale".
The event, attended by Mr. Do Huu Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam E-commerce Association and CEO of Accesstrade, along with over 1,000 sellers and businesses, 50+ KOLs/KOCs, and 20+ industry experts, became one of the few events in 2026 that simultaneously connected sellers, creators, and the e-commerce ecosystem.
Between 2024 and 2026, TikTok Shop generated a wave of strong growth, fueling the boom in e-commerce in Vietnam. However, behind this rapid development lie clear challenges: revenue has not yet matched profitability, there is increasing reliance on advertising and Key Accounts (KOCs), a lack of a systematic operating system, and growing pressure to comply with legal regulations and manage finances.
Against this backdrop, the market is being forced to shift from a short-term growth mindset to building sustainable operating systems to ensure long-term profitability. The Vietnam E-commerce Leadership Conference 2026 - Season 2 is organized to directly address these challenges, providing practical insights into operations, finance, affiliate marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), and long-term development strategies.
The program content focuses on key pillars including: building operational systems and profit control; developing Affiliate and Key Account (KOC) strategies to replicate revenue; optimizing products and content on TikTok Shop; applying AI in management and growth; and issues related to corporate tax and finance.
The era of "Agentic Commerce"
At the event, Mr. Do Huu Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam E-commerce Association, stated: "For a long time, businesses have often solved the problem of growth by recruiting more staff. However, for small businesses with low salaries, attracting and retaining talent is extremely difficult. Therefore, businesses must immediately forget the mindset of growth based on the number of people, and instead shift to growth based on quality through technology."
Constantly recruiting more staff to scale up is a dead end for small businesses, where financial resources and the ability to attract talent are limited. Instead, he asserted that businesses need to shift towards quality-based growth through technology.
Accordingly, the concept of "Agentic Commerce" – an era where AI is no longer just a support tool, but has evolved into "agents" capable of automatically performing tasks, coordinating and optimizing processes to achieve business goals without constant human intervention.

Mr. Hung stated that AI can now produce advertising videos 100% automatically or livestream sales 24/7 with an efficiency equivalent to 50-60% of humans, ensuring no communication errors or policy deviations.
The event contributes to promoting digital transformation and optimizing operations for the business community. This year's conference focuses on a major challenge in the e-commerce market: increasing revenue but unstable profits. In the context of rising advertising, key account (KOC), affiliate, operational, and compliance costs, sellers cannot simply chase short-term growth but need to build a well-structured operational system.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Doan Quyen Anh, CEO of EDUCI Group Joint Stock Company, shared: "The market is entering a phase where revenue is no longer the only measure of success. What determines the survival of a business is its ability to operate and control profits. We organized this event with the goal of helping sellers build a system that can generate profits every day, instead of just chasing short-term growth."
More than just a knowledge-sharing workshop, the event is positioned as a comprehensive networking platform within the e-commerce ecosystem, where sellers can find suitable operational and growth strategies, KOLs/KOCs have the opportunity to directly access brands to expand long-term cooperation, and businesses and technology platforms can effectively connect with high-quality customer segments.
