The journey of Miss World 2025 is drawing to a close. Over 100 beauties from various countries and territories have spent nearly a month competing in numerous rounds within the framework of the world's largest beauty pageant. Jasmine Gerhardt from Ireland is a strong contender for the crown. She won Top Model, placed in the top 8 of the Head To Head Challenge, the top 32 in Sports, and the top 24 in Talent. From the early rounds, she has consistently been predicted to advance deep into the final competition.
The biggest surprise was undoubtedly Aurélie Joachim . The contestant representing Martinique made a breakthrough in the crucial stages of Miss World. The Somali beauty caused a sensation in the Head to Head Challenge round when she shared about the harmful practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) in her homeland, of which she is also a victim. Jama believes she has remained silent for too long and it is time to speak up to protect the vulnerable. Her presentation made a strong impression on the judging panel and the other contestants present at the round. Jama graduated with a degree in aviation and airport management.
Hailing from Namibia, Selma Kamanya also caught the attention of many experts and beauty pageant fans from the early rounds. She achieved many accomplishments, including winning the Top Model Africa regional competition; placing in the top 32 of the Sports competition; and reaching the top 8 of the Head to Head Challenge. Kamanya, born in 1996, is 1.75 m tall and is a model in her home country. She previously participated in Miss Universe 2018.
Thanks to her victory in the Head to Head Challenge in the Americas and Caribbean region, Anna-Lise Nanton has a strong chance of reaching the finals on May 31st. The representative from Trinidad & Tobago captivated with her sharp, confident, and energetic appearance. She is currently an engineer at Earth Investigation Systems Ltd. Anna-Lise Nanton is passionate about sports such as soccer, hiking, and rugby. She shared that she hopes to inspire people about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, both physically and mentally.
India's representative, Nandini Gupta, has been featured in numerous rankings by major beauty websites recently. She boasts a height of 1.7 meters, large eyes, and a radiant smile. Gupta topped the Top Model competition in the Asia and Oceania region. Fans of Indian beauty pageants are placing high hopes on the 21-year-old. India's best achievement at Miss World was Priyanka Chopra (in 2000).
Krishnah Gravidez, a beauty from the Philippines, made a strong impression with her appearance. Born in 2000, she possesses a striking face, a stunning figure, and excellent performance skills. In 2023, she won the top title at Miss Charm Philippines, but later announced she was relinquishing her crown. She is now studying civil engineering. Additionally, the Philippine representative works as a model, content creator, and businesswoman. Before Gravidez, Gwendolyne Fourniol represented the Philippines at Miss World 2023 but did not achieve a high ranking.
Several other beauties could spring a surprise in this year's Miss World final, such as Idil Bilgen (Turkey), Monica Kezia Sembiring (Indonesia), Millie-Mae Adams (Wales), or Opal Suchata Chuangsri (Thailand). Ý Nhi is absent from this group of potential candidates. The Miss World final will select the top 40 from four continents, then further determine the top 20, top 8, and top 4.
