An Giang has more than 7,500 operating enterprises, creating momentum for the province's development.

On the afternoon of October 13, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a meeting with 150 outstanding businessmen on the occasion of Vietnamese Businessmen's Day.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of businessmen to the province's development.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that the province's socio -economic situation in the first 9 months of 2023 continued to achieve many positive results. In particular, agricultural and aquatic production had a good harvest and good prices, so it had a high growth rate, continuing to be a solid support for the economy. Gross domestic product (GRDP) in the first 9 months of 2023 is estimated to increase by 7% over the same period last year. Total wholesale and retail sales of goods and services are estimated at nearly 145,000 billion VND, up 15.41% over the same period. Estimated total import and export turnover in the first 9 months of the year reached 1,037 million USD, up more than 3% over the same period...

The whole province currently has more than 7,500 enterprises and 6,000 affiliated units in operation, with a total registered capital of 285,000 billion VND. It is possible that in 2023, the province will have 800 - 900 newly established enterprises. The high increase in the number of established enterprises shows the confidence of enterprises in the province... An Giang always creates the most favorable conditions for enterprises to feel secure in investing and producing, always accompanying and sharing with enterprises. Sectors and authorities at all levels constantly focus on removing barriers, reviewing and cutting cumbersome and unnecessary administrative procedures for enterprises and investors to create a favorable environment for investment activities.
