According to the representative of Phu Quoc Special Zone, Russian tourists to Phu Quoc Special Zone have been interrupted for many years due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and many other objective factors.
According to the plan, Anex Vietnam Trade and Tourism Company Limited will operate charter flights from Russia and CIS countries to Phu Quoc Special Zone in the winter of 2025-2026 with 60,000 passengers.
Charter flights depart from 14 cities in Russia and the CIS bloc with a frequency of 75-80 flights/month, ensuring the transportation of more than 10,000 international passengers per month.
The first flight bringing Russian tourists to Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone according to this plan is on October 19, 2025.

According to the leader of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone, the expansion of the winter charter flight route in 2025-2026 promises to be a "booming" time for Phu Quoc tourism, when charter flights from Russia and the CIS bloc continuously bring tens of thousands of international tourists to travel and relax, experience the natural beauty and unique culture of the pearl island.
According to the Department of Tourism of An Giang province, bringing Russian tourists to Phu Quoc not only helps the locality increase the number of international visitors to the pearl island but also contributes to promoting the image of Vietnam as a destination, creating leverage for the province's trade and tourism promotion activities.
At the same time, affirming the role of Phu Quoc as a high-class resort tourism center of the country and the region.
