The Vietnamese citizens repatriated by Cambodia included those who had crossed the border into Cambodia at various times and through different border crossings.
These citizens, whose permanent residences are mainly from the northern, central, Central Highlands, and southwestern provinces of Vietnam, were found to have gone to Cambodia to work and were subsequently deported by the General Directorate of Immigration - Ministry of Interior of Cambodia for violating Cambodian regulations on immigration, labor, and residence.

Immediately after receiving them, the Vinh Xuong International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with relevant authorities to conduct health declarations, provide healthcare, and complete initial legal procedures. After completing these procedures, the unit handed over the 137 citizens to the Immigration Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police for further verification and clarification in accordance with regulations.

In particular, during this operation, through screening, intelligence gathering, and diplomatic relations, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard arrested a suspect who had twice evaded arrest warrants.
During a quick interrogation, the suspect identified himself as Ngo Van Dai, born in 1995, residing in Thanh Hoa province, and admitted to committing the acts of "Illegal arrest and detention" and "Disrupting public order." Dai is wanted by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency under warrants No. 621, dated January 12, 2026, and No. 3837, dated March 8, 2026.
Currently, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Force is completing the legal procedures to hand over the suspect to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police for handling according to the law.
