The community joins hands to donate books.
At K646/24 Ton Dan Street, the Community Center of Phuoc Tuong 3 Residential Area (An Khe Ward) has just opened a reading space with a diverse selection of books, neatly displayed.
Notably, most of the books are donated by the community, covering genres such as literature, history, politics , life skills, textbooks, magazines, and children's comics. All are provided completely free of charge.
This is a key project of the local youth, including a reading corner, a digital space titled "Uncle Ho with the Youth of An Khe," and a "Book Exchange" activity. The project is being implemented jointly by the Youth Union of Party Agencies - An Khe Ward Party Committee and the Youth Union of Phuoc Tuong 3 Residential Area, starting from the beginning of summer 2026.
According to Huynh Tan Dung, Secretary of the Youth Union of Phuoc Tuong 3 residential area, the books were collected and donated by the An Khe Library and local residents.

People can bring old books to exchange for others, thereby extending the lifespan of each publication and spreading the value of knowledge.
In addition to traditional bookshelves, this place also implements a digital library model integrating many modern features. By simply scanning a QR code, readers can easily access a digital library with hundreds of titles anytime, anywhere via their smartphones.
A meeting point for reading culture.
During the recent April 30th and May 1st holidays, the reading space in An Khe ward attracted a large number of people who came to exchange books and socialize.
The reading area is beautifully decorated, creating a convenient space for people to "check-in," capture meaningful moments with books, and spread a positive image on social media platforms.
With the spirit of "giving away a book, gaining a thousand pieces of knowledge," this model has become a cultural reading hub for the locality and has left a special mark on the people.
Pham Thi Quynh Huong, a resident of Phuoc Tuong 3 residential area, shared: “This is the first time our residential area has had a community library. This model is very practical. Here, I can connect and interact with people who share the same passion for reading; I hope this model can develop into a long-term club to attract more people.”
Mr. Huynh Nam, Secretary of the Phuoc Tuong 3 Residential Area Party Branch, expressed that the community strongly supports the local youth's efforts to spread a reading culture. Through community reading corners, residents can improve their knowledge and update information effectively and promptly; contributing to building a stronger, more prosperous, and beautiful residential area in particular and An Khe ward in general.

According to Mr. Le Phan Hoang Hai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Party agencies - An Khe Ward Party Committee, the reading corner, the digital space "Uncle Ho with An Khe Youth," and the "Book Exchange" activity were implemented to promote awareness of the value of books. At the same time, these activities affirm the role, position, and importance of books in research, learning, training, and updating and enhancing knowledge, contributing to spreading the reading movement in the community.
"We hope this model will spread widely to youth union branches in residential areas and schools throughout the ward, attracting more people to participate in contributing and reading," said Hai.
