Statue of President Ho Chi Minh installed at Saint Petersburg State University campus (Russia)

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, leaders of Saint Petersburg State University, Ho Chi Minh Institute, the Vietnamese community in Russia and a large number of students of the university.

The statue of President Ho Chi Minh at Saint Petersburg State University is cast in solid bronze, 2.1m high (including the statue body and base), weighing 800kg, depicting the image of Uncle Ho raising his hand in greeting. The statue of President Ho Chi Minh was made by Quang Ha Bronze Casting Company, a prestigious unit in the field of crafting traditional bronze statues in Vietnam.

Professor Vladimir Kolotov, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Institute in the Russian Federation, said that this is the fifth statue of President Ho Chi Minh placed in Russia - a vivid testament to the strong friendship between Vietnam and Russia and a source of inspirationfor educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology for the young generations of the two countries.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, also expressed deep emotion when witnessing the image of Uncle Ho solemnly present at the prestigious school, which once marked Uncle Ho's footsteps in his journey to find a way to save the country more than a century ago.

Mr. Ho Huy, Chairman of Mai Linh Group, the sponsor and organizer of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, was moved to share: Ho Chi Minh's ideology is a guiding light not only for the revolution but also for businesses on the journey of sustainable development.
