Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Huong, mother of the two contestants, said that her family introduced the two brothers to English from the age of 6 months through passive listening. According to Ms. Huong, this method helped Thang and Thinh form language reflexes naturally.
During that time, Ms. Huong always accompanied her child every day, not interrupting his English learning for any reason.
When they entered primary school, Thinh and Thang became more proactive. They communicated with each other in English every day, watched movies, read books, and used English as a favorite activity in their daily lives.
Besides, the two students also download English learning applications online to improve their skills.
Kieu Duc Thinh shared: “In addition to learning English at school, we also like to participate in competitions to challenge ourselves and accurately assess our English level, from which we can find learning methods to improve our abilities.”
Ms. Huong added: “My two children have participated in the TOEFL Challenge for three consecutive years. Their achievements today prove that they are on the right track.
With the current learning trend, this is also a way for families to accompany their children in learning English according to international standards, creating a foundation to help children become more confident and prepare a solid foundation for the future."
