Quang Ngai: Two beautiful pristine waterfalls discovered in Kon Plong commune

VHO - On July 14, the Kon Plông commune government (Quang Ngai province) announced that it had just discovered two natural waterfalls with pristine beauty and great potential for developing eco-tourism. This is considered a positive sign, opening up opportunities for developing green, sustainable tourism associated with nature conservation and indigenous culture.

According to Mr. Dang Dinh Toan, Vice Chairman of Kon Plong Commune People's Committee, through information provided by local people, the government organized a field survey team and confirmed the existence of two waterfalls that had never been included on the tourist map before.

“Both waterfalls have pure beauty, closely associated with the Central Highlands mountains and forests. These could be new, unique highlights in the journey to explore Kon Plông’s nature,” Mr. Toan shared.

So Roach Waterfall is located in Kon Plong village, Kon Plong commune.

The first waterfall was named by the locals as So Roach, located in Kon Plong village, Kon Plong commune. Although not majestically high, the waterfall has a cool stream of water flowing all year round, winding through the layers of rocks and surrounding green vegetation.

In particular, So Roach waterfall is quite easy to access by road, very suitable for outdoor tours or families who like to immerse themselves in nature without having to travel too far or hard.

Meanwhile, Ho Kook waterfall has a completely different look, mysterious, pristine and challenging. Located deep in the forest, under the management of Thach Nham Forest Protection Management Board, the road to Ho Kook waterfall is still quite difficult, visitors have to overcome many dense forests and complex terrain. However, it is this difficulty of access that creates a special attraction for tourists who love exploring, trekking and adventure travel.

“We believe that for tourists who love to conquer nature, Ho Kook will be an ideal destination to experience the wildest, most majestic and purest beauty of the Kon Plông green forest,” said Mr. Toan.

Kon Plông commune authorities are currently making specific plans to plan, preserve and effectively exploit these two locations in the direction of developing eco-tourism, combining local cultural experiences.

“We not only want to turn these two waterfalls into attractive tourist destinations, but also see this as an opportunity to create livelihoods for local people, especially ethnic minorities living near the area. The development will be closely linked to environmental protection and the preservation of indigenous cultural identity,” Mr. Toan emphasized.
