Previously, on October 29, due to prolonged heavy rain, a landslide occurred in Hon Do mountain area with a length of about 50m, with more than 1,000m³ of rock and soil falling down, directly affecting many households and causing traffic congestion on National Highway 24B. Immediately after the incident, the Commune People's Committee organized the evacuation of households in the dangerous area to a safe place.

On October 31, when the rain temporarily stopped, people were allowed to return home to stabilize their lives. However, due to the heavy rain that continued from November 2, the risk of landslides reoccurred, so in the afternoon of the same day, the People's Committee of Truong Giang commune continued to implement the second evacuation.

The Commune People's Committee directed forces to go to each house, requesting all 43 households and 143 people living at the foot of Hon Do mountain to urgently leave the dangerous area.
Currently, people are temporarily housed at the village cultural house, flood shelters and safe areas in the commune.
In addition to Hon Do mountain, Lach mountain area (Huong Nhuong Nam village, Truong Giang commune) is also warned of the risk of landslides, threatening 31 households and 84 people.

* On November 2, facing unfavorable weather conditions and the risk of crop damage, Duc Minh Border Guard Station (Quang Ngai Border Guard) deployed forces to support people in harvesting crops.
Duc Minh Border Guard Station mobilized 25 officers and soldiers to urgently go to deeply flooded areas to directly support people in harvesting agricultural products and crops to minimize damage caused by floods.
Officers and soldiers helped people promptly harvest more than 1.5 hectares of cassava in Minh Tan Nam village, Mo Cay commune, Quang Ngai province, an area affected by flooding.

This activity helps preserve people's income and food, and at the same time demonstrates the pioneering and frontline role of the Border Guard in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
