Traffic control on National Highway 1A through Phu Loc commune

At about 9:30 a.m. on November 3, at Km867, National Highway 1A, passing through Cao Doi Xa village, Phu Loc commune, the flood water was about 20cm deep. The commune police force and the commune military command deployed forces to regulate traffic and support people and vehicles to move safely; at the same time, they were ready with response plans in case of rising water.

In other localities in Phu Loc commune, due to the impact of heavy rain, some roads and low-lying areas were flooded, including: Village 8, Cao Doi Xa village, Hoa Mau village, Dong Luu village, Le Thai Thien village, Dong Hai village.

Faced with the above situation, the Civil Defense Command of Phu Loc commune has urgently deployed response measures such as: propaganda, warning via Facebook, Zalo, and the public address system; stringing ropes and placing warning signs in deeply flooded areas with potential traffic safety risks. Police, military, border guards and shock forces in the villages are always ready to support and rescue when necessary...

In addition, the flood drainage system in Hoa Mau village operates well, contributing to reducing flooding on National Highway 1A (section through Cao Doi Xa village) and neighboring areas.

Overcoming landslides on National Highway 49 and Ho Chi Minh Road

On the same morning, landslides appeared continuously on Highway 49 and Ho Chi Minh Road, causing traffic jams. The road management unit has cleared some areas.

Specifically, at Km 367+ 150 of Ho Chi Minh road at slope A5 (A Chi village, A Luoi 4 commune), landslides have occurred in recent days and are being handled. On the morning of November 3, thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil flowed down the hill onto the road, cutting off traffic here.

Currently, traffic safety work has been deployed here. Similarly, at km 48+700 Kim Quy pass through A Luoi 5 commune, a landslide also appeared. Thua Thien Hue Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company has directed the local Road Management Department to arrange vehicles and human resources to fix the landslide, clear the landslide, and reopen the route on the morning of November 3.

On the morning of November 3, heavy rain caused a landslide on the road in Canh Duong village, heading to Laguna Lang Co Resort, with rocks and soil spilling onto the road surface.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ho Trinh Hung, Chief of Chan May Port Border Guard Station, in the face of the landslide, Chan May Port Border Guard Station, Hue City Economic and Industrial Zone Management Board and local authorities urgently mobilized forces and means to overcome the landslide, warn people and ensure safety, and support vehicles to leave the landslide site.

Chairman of Chan May - Lang Co Commune People's Committee Tran Van Minh Quan said that due to the risk of landslides at various locations, local authorities deployed forces to evacuate 14 households in Phu Gia village, 9 households in Tho Son village and 5 households in Thuy Yen Thuong village.

In Loc An commune, heavy rain caused the Truoi River to rise, and the locality has prepared means to evacuate 350 households with 1,040 people to safety.
