As summer approaches, many people are undoubtedly planning upcoming trips . But travelers intending to fly may have some things to consider. From increased baggage fees in the US to fuel quotas in Italy, or rising surcharges in China, all are creating a difficult cost equation for passengers.

For air travelers during this time, cost is a real headache. Rising airfares and limited flight options are forcing them to seriously consider whether to continue their journey. For example, in the US, several airlines have simultaneously increased baggage fees, shifting the financial burden onto consumers.

Richard Groberg, a passenger, said: "Obviously, if prices stay at this level, I'll have to be a little more cautious, only traveling when absolutely necessary and booking early because airfares have already gone up. I spoke to a few people on the plane today about how much prices have escalated."

"We had hoped to travel abroad later this year. But if prices keep rising, that will no longer be possible," said the portis, a passenger.

Meanwhile, in northern Italy, at least four major airports have had to impose fuel quotas on each aircraft. Priority is now given only to emergency flights, state flights, or long-haul flights exceeding three hours. For other flights, the supply limit is only 2,000 liters per aircraft.

In China, starting April 5th, airlines have uniformly implemented new fuel surcharges for all domestic flights. The surcharge for flights under 800 km will increase from 10 yuan to 60 yuan. For flights over 800 km, this fee will jump to 120 yuan.

Zhong Shan, from the China Aviation Research Institute, stated: "Generally, fuel costs typically account for 30% to 40% of the total costs of civil aviation companies. Due to the impact of rising fuel prices, adjusting fuel surcharges by airlines is a common international practice."

Experts warn that even if crude oil prices show signs of cooling down, passengers are unlikely to receive price support anytime soon, as airlines often experience delays in adjusting prices while waiting for the market to stabilize.
