The complaint also alleges that investors were misled by Apple into believing that Apple Intelligence would be a key selling point for the iPhone 16 lineup, offering a smarter and more convenient Siri experience.

Apple has been accused of inflating information and shareholder expectations at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2024. The situation is further complicated by Apple's announcement earlier this year that it would continue to delay new Siri features until 2026.

In recent interviews, two senior Apple executives, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, and Greg Joswiak, Vice President of Global Marketing, both confirmed that the company is having difficulty integrating new features into Siri.

Apple stated that the company's goal is not to build a chatbot. Instead, the company wants to build an AI platform to assist users with all their daily tasks.
