After the first two months of the year when the iPhone market was sluggish, Apple implemented a price reduction policy for its phone models in early March. This move caused many products to have strong sales, especially the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 series, which were reduced to the accessible segment.

In the list of discounted phone models, iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 have the deepest discounts, 2.5 - 3 million VND, equivalent to nearly 20% of the device's value.

Speaking with VTC News reporter, Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of retailer CellphoneS, said that the surprising information about the phone models that helped increase sales were product lines that were launched 2-3 years ago.

"iPhone 14, 15 sales increased 2.5 times compared to before the price reduction. The contribution rate of the device also reached about 12% in the entire Apple mobile industry. Previously, it was at 6%," Mr. Huy added.

At retail stores, there are up to 13 iPhone models still being sold as new devices, from models released many years ago such as iPhone 13 (2021), iPhone 14 (2022) to the iPhone 16 series, with prices ranging from 11 to 33 million VND. This is also the price segment that many Android phone companies currently have products in.

Viettel Store representative analyzed: "Although they are in the same market, in reality, the Android and iPhone models have different customer groups. Moreover, this is not the time when the new iPhone is launched, so the iPhone's good price will almost not affect the sales of Android phones."

Also according to a reputable source, the above price reduction was made at a time when inventory at Vietnamese schools was still quite large.

Products that Apple has not yet discontinued such as iPhone 13, 14, 15 will certainly receive many attractive incentives.

The source also predicts that the iPhone 16e will be able to reduce the price further, causing users to shift their attention to the cheapest phone in the iPhone 16 series.

Should I still buy iPhone 14?
